Smurfs... all the way. Though, I'm able to look past the fact we removed that ride... how else would we have gotten that wonderful blue ice cream at Huckleberry's Dairy?
-
I highly doubt the park will be open its normal operating hours these two days. Most likely open at normal time and then close around 5pm. They used to do this as a "dry run" day in years past.
-
They won't be... There will also be the daily (or almost daily) Nickelodeon Parade. A new and improved Paramount Theatre with a new "movie" revealing how movie magic comes to life. Again both things mentioned at No Coaster Con in Chicago and going in at all Paramount Parks.
-
Wow I love how everytime a thread mentions The Bat, it goes into why it was removed and we always get a total of different answers.
-
It was included in my supervisor placement letter that I got today.
-
Clearly Flight of Fear. Always gotta pick the rides that are on the 6 year plan... 6 years from opening until they work properly...
-
There are going to be two dates for Season Pass/Family/Media preview dates this year. They are scheduled for April 3rd and 4th this year. This is the week before the official opening for the park.
-
Well I've been meaning to add this but kept forgeting... At No Coaster last weekend (Jan 17th)... David Mandt announced that all Paramount Parks will be getting three new walk around Characters, AND THEY ARE..... ::insert drum roll:: 1. Lil Bill 2&3. The Fairly Odd Parents So many people guessed correctly.

Casino's with admission??? Every place I go... to donate money to the local schools by playing some games for money... its free to get in.
-
That would have been me laggin... sorry. Jeff knows not to wait for me.
-
Hm.... why am I reminded of Crocodiles.....
-
Not only would it take more space to store them... it would be that much more hard to transport them. They currently have specially designed racks that the cars sit on which are "fork-able". Thus they can drive a flat bed truck up, pick up each car with a fork lift and load a bunch on the truck and drive away.

Jeff has mentioned several times that they are working on bringing it back. Though, it must be pretty low on the list of priorities... which it should be. The camera can actually be used for other things such as a security cam. So maybe at the time they see it more pheasable as that rather than a web cam. It would be nice to have it back with the addition of another, that way they can show two different angles of the park.

I just can't think of anything witty to say... just sounds like a bad mix to me. We already have over crowding in the parking lot on busy days. A busy plus a busy casino.... Holy Good.

Paramount Parks basically are becoming "MOVIE" parks. All Paramount Park related material I have received so far this year... invites and coupons from No Coaster, 2004 Employee Handbook, and Mr. Siebert's email signature... have pictures of Paramount Pictures studios, pictures made into banners to look like they are on film strips, or the phrase... Paramount's Kings Island The Entertainment Destination of the Midwest Where Movie Magic Comes to Life! They really are trying to set themselves apart this year. I have the feeling that will carry on and we'll definetly start seeing more and more movie named rides and attractions.

Obviously The Beast. Nothing else in that list can compare. StXBomber.. to be technical, which I love to be, the Eifel Tower is also a signature ride, since it is a signature landmark of the park, everyone knows its there. Though, its not first on everyone's list when they think of rides at PKI.
-
Greek Weekend???? I don't know where you're getting that info. On the PKI site, it says that weekend is "PKI MUSIC FESTIVAL - BAND".
-
They don't hire outside people to "RUN" Timberwolf, though they do have a company that books the events, ie getting and selecting the bands to come. The food and merch stands inside are run by park employees, the security is park security. Though the lighting and sound stuff is all run by the band and their crew. Now when I talk about the place looking trashy, I just mean... when you walk into the place the decor is old and run down looking. Not that there is trash all over the place. The paint job is all brown and dull (who wants brown). They still have lighting fixtures and decor from Adventure Village, the old theming of Action Zone. I don't see why they can't upgrade the concert area to be more geared towards Action Zone colors and flare.

Aparently this email was sent to everyone who is involved with ANY Paramount Park survey list. My email came from Carowinds, but once I clicked on PKI as my home park, all questions were about PKI. So aparently each park is getting the same thing asked. The answers from all parks could be used for just one of the parks new rides, not neccesarily all. I don't see where you got the idea of it being like FoF. From the definition I read it sounded like the Italian Job wild mouse coaster people had been suggesting as a cool new concept in other threads. Now unless any of these are HUGE rides, I don't expect them in PKI for 2005. Possibly afterwards or like I said earlier, for a different park.

Now, welcome... however I gotta disagree with certain points. Floorless... eh it could be... but gut feeling says no, though I can't back that up so who knows. The other.. construction between AE and Racer???? Right behind the ladder game??? Right behind the ladder game is... a queue line, a road, and then AE itself. Doesn't leave much room to build anything. Now if you're talking about the small open aread between Racer, AE, and FoF... That'd just be a stupid place to put a station.. if that is what you are thinking. Unless its elevated there's almost no way to have a brake run into the station, the station itself, and a way to turn or go straight into a lift hill.. or even a launch. Plus the only way to get people to it would be to build a bridge up over Racer or part of the FoF building. Now if it was to be some sort of turn around or helix in that area.. that is feasible.
-
Even if they did small things each season it would pay off. ie Change benches one year, replace sound cage in audience the next.... With the record breaking amount of money food service made in Timberwolf this year, I've been trying to tell the head of food we need an upgraded food stand. Every little bit about that place is horrible. Its ok to look at from Drop Zone, but once you're in there.... run.
-
Well one, most concerts in Timberwolf, ok all, are later in the day. Usually 7pm or 8pm starting times. The only things that aren't are Spirit Song and Cheerleader weekend, those last basically all day. It was mentioned that at all Paramount Parks, they will be trying to beef up the concert selection and bring in more. Though since an outside company deals with the selection of bands and venues, its not completely up to the park. So if this company approached Disturbed about performing at PKI and they agreed to the contract and venue size, you might see them. I do feel where your coming from, I'd love to see more bands that are more recent selecting PKI as their venue.

It is going to be a new pool, with section that are shallow enough (about a foot deep) to be able to place lounge chairs in. It will have the waterfall in it. From what I gather it will go in the grassy area that was under the powerline, though not sure if its to the left nearest the train, or the right, closest to the wave pool. Obviously it won't be directly under the power lines. Jeff mentioned before that directly under the power lines they were going to make a hill and put shrubs and stuff on it to "block" to view from one side to the other, thus to break up the site of concrete.

Knowing Jeff... he dropped his "hints" at that during the tour. As in him saying... Coney Mall is getting a make over... hmmm... HMMM.... Then he went on to say that Rivertown was redone with the installation of Tomb Raider, HB and nick have been redone with the additions of new rides, that Action Zone was redone with the addition of rides, now WW being redone with new rides, and the only area left is Coney Mall being redone.... HMMMM. Take that as you will.

As far as I know, Dreamworld is getting the stunt show this year as something new. So they haven't had it before. Not sure if its the same stunt show or a different one. Though, because they are using the Tomb Raider name they legally have to have a legal contract with Viacom to allow them to use it.
