  1. How is there not a statement from the park yet? Did I miss that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I am a local… the chaperone policy from KK only impacts kids 15 and under. That seems totally reasonable and has no impact on kids 16 and over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Park is filling quickly. I’m heading out for the day, but the “front” portion of the parking lot (closest to the parking entrance) is basically full and there’s still plenty of cars rolling in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I live very close to the park. I realize the park hit capacity and entrants were not allowed in after about 5pm… but many locals are stating that the park did fireworks at 930 tonight and started moving guests out early due to fights breaking out through the park. Possibly gang related Anyone there tonight to confirm? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Park was dead today. Food service was great! Got pizza slices at fest haus LaRosa... no line, in and out quick. Noted signage posted about “online pre ordering being available soon”. Panda had no line. Went over to coney bbq smoke house, also no line. Sirloin looked similar to the tri tip... pro was that it also included some vegetables (mini peppers & onions) Cons, when I ordered it, it only included 4 slices of meat... each one was about 1.5” in diameter as its largest point. So like 4 “silver dollar” slices. I ended up adding to switch to a pulled pork sandwich, as I didn’t think I’d be satisfied with such a small beef portion. Interested to see what that portion actually is supposed to be, as the meal has potential. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Exactly. Since they weren’t able to enforce the specific smoking areas, (and guests didn’t all seem to understand that they needed to only smoke in those areas) it makes sense to me that they would make it clearer for everyone by just making smoking banned within the park. For example there were almost always people smoking in front of no smoking signs of the fest haus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If they wrapped the line the other way, to the fest haus, that could help... but honestly it’s only an issue for 30 minutes... so whatever Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yikes! It’s not even 5:00, and the line for wishbone is back past the photo booth This may be more popular than most attractions!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Indeed. Coaster nation just posted this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Anyone at the park today? Any insight on if any items at the “new” French restaurant are on the dining plan? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Bummer. I was WAY more excited for food trucks than fall decor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. When were the trucks in the parking lot?? Is this whole thread a typo?? When is (was) a food truck event this year??? https://www.visitkingsisland.com/play/events/tricks-and-treats-fall-fest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Also saw skyline was decorated in a coronavirus theme. Great touch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. My son wanted Hanks. So I went with him. It actually looked good, and we were there. So I tried it again. The rice wasn’t crunchy!!! It was a really good option. Only real improvement/suggestion would be to offer fresh diced jalapeños... as there isn’t much spice ... and the canned jalapeños offered aren’t very appetizing. But overall, this was a great experience... so I retract my previous disappointment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I couldn’t get there until 6:30 tonight. Wishbone was closed down. They are not kidding when they say limited quantities, while supplies last. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Wasn’t sure if this was posted here yet: http://kingsmillsrvresort-com.vps-clevelandconstruction-com.vps.ezhostingserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/040819-OH-kings-mills-presentation-FINAL-v5-pg1-25r.pdf Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Coaster nation posted an updated photo today, which only lists Saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Their social media says Saturdays (but not only and made no reference to Sundays) but the signage at the wishbone clearly says it’s Saturday and Sunday... I just haven’t tried going on a Sunday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I feel like it could be warmly accepted was an addition to Planet Snoopy (I know that they are great for adults too). But I think the PR aspect of adding one anywhere else would make noise people think it wasn’t a good addition to the main park (maybe part of the coney mall update could work too) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Has anyone tried getting these special meals on Sundays? I’ve always gone on Saturdays the past two weeks, but wasn’t sure how often it was still being offered on Sundays (since it’s limited to while supplies last) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. While there was a large sign in the midway about this, I don’t recall any reference to a price... so I’m not even sure if it was available for cash purchase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. This week looks amazing!! Short rib with potato latke beaded onion strings and garnish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Wasn’t the park closed yesterday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Although social media said Saturday, the signage at the wishbone indicated this would occur on Saturday and Sunday. Although maybe they are out of prime rib cuts and anticipated this first weekend would only be Saturday?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Review of cheesesteak sandwich weekend of aug 22 chef plate. First: I will always be supportive and appreciate new options to the meal plan, especially ones involving grilled meat. So for me, this was a winner. Frankly this was the reason I went to the park this evening, as I typically avoid on Saturdays. The preview... signage of the actual meal was non existent. If you didn’t hear about the meal via social media (as I did) I have no idea how you would have known what the chef special was. The gigantic prime rib hunks of meat on the grills were bringing people over though. Many interested in how they could buy one! There were markers on the ground for a line, but if this continues to be popular they should really add some turnstiles or ropes to create a clear line off the concourse. The ordering system seemed to be slow everywhere tonight, and this wishbone grill was no expectation. It took about 5 minutes per person to place an order (although I was there close to 5:30, so hopefully they worked out the process better). I don’t like cheese, so I requested without. That wasn’t an issue since each sandwich seemed to be made to order. The first impression of the sandwich was that it looked fresh, bun, thin sliced meat, veggies, but kind of small for a “dinner”. It lived up to this, as it was tasty, but it certainly didn’t fill me up. Would be a perfect lunch portion, although it isn’t offered until 5pm. The overall sandwich was good, although a little dry. Although to be fair, I chose to forgo the cheese (which looked great). The potatoes were cooked really well, I expected them to be under cooked and a little hard, but they were not and had oil/butter. Nothing fancy, but they were good. My son ended up getting the pulled pork fries at river town. He gave me some of his saucy pulled pork to put on my sandwich, really made it awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
