What do you think will be the future of Geauga Lake?

Featured Replies

X Flight went to KI, Steel Venom's in storage... now there are rumors of Dominator going to Kings Dominion. What's your take on this?

I really wish we had gotten Dominator. The capacity would have worked so much better for Kings Island than X-Flight did.

I think X-Flight is a pretty good fit at Kings Island. I really think that Six Flags thought the park could be more than it really was and they just over built the park. Its sad actually. I think the park may turn into a huge water park.

Bill I really dont know what you see so much in Dominator. It was ok at best. The one pop of air time after the MCBR is nice but that first loop bangs your head just as bad as Vortex. Its neat, but out of 10, its no better than a 4.

I could see all the rides put into stroage, scrapped, and sold. Geauga Lake will soon be know as America's biggest waterpark!

Of all the B and M floorless coasters I have ever ridden, the only one that just left me cold was Batman Knight Flight aka Dominator. It just isn't as much fun as the others. Well, to be honest, Scream at Six Flags Magic Mountain is another story. It didn't leave me cold. That would have been a drastic improvement over what it DID do. That vibratey, unsatisfying Scream is the worst B and M floorless I have ridden, and by far. Hydra at Dorney Park was disappointing...not bad, just disappointing. But, Dominator is just bleh.

I, for one, am VERY glad it was X Flight that moved to Kings Island, and NOT Dominator....

Steel Venom's in storage

Steel Venom won't be in storage for long.

I see them removing Dominator and Thunderhawk this year in 08' and hopefully putting in something to replace them like some flat rides.

It would be pretty cool if we got Steel Venom and Dominator. Like a whole Geauga Lake deal... including X-Flight.

I think it would be cool if we had Steal Venom, it could fit just about any where in the park and they are prettty fun.

The focus in the future will surely be on Wildwater Kingdom, but I still see a few coasters and several flat rides for guests' enjoyment being there, especially before and after they do the water park.

The only roller coasters that i think will stay is... Big Dipper, Double Loop, and Raging Wolf Bobs. Maybe some more, i don't know...

I wouldnt want anymore donation of rides...i want something origional and made for just KI.

Normally I'd agree with you, but I still think we got a pretty sweet deal with Firehawk.

Steel Venom is going to Dorney.

The only coaster I could see coming to Kings Island would be the kiddie coaster, but where would they put it?

Looks like a pretty cool looking logo. Similar to Medussa but instead of a face it's a skull. I hope people in Pa enjoy the coaster.

What Kiddie Coaster, The Bevar Land Mine Ride? Double Loop? (really I don't care, when we go to KI I never even enter Kiddie World. I go strait to rivertown's coaster. ;)
