Beast1979 Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 How mutch proof is that of anything? Quote
PKIDelirium Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 You're right, maybe they just got bored and said HEY MAYBE WE'LL DISMANTLE SOME OF CHILLER! Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 How mutch proof is that of anything? Well its photographed evidence of them dismantling the coaster, I'd say thats pretty much definitive proof that SFGAdv is removing it. What more proof do you need? What are their reasons for removing it? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Some things are not posted until evidence thereof becomes public. This be one of them. Enough said. As for why they are removing it, the new Six Flags believes all rides should run virtually all the time. The park has made clear that despite its best efforts, Chiller could not be made compatible with that standard. Quote
RollerNut Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Wait a second, why would they be starting in the middle where the track was just redone? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Because the coaster is being removed. Both sides. Forever. This is not a redo; nor a remodelling. Quote

The Interpreter Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 It is more than a little amazing how little time this attraction (these coasters) lasted. Quote
WooferBearATL Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 It is more than a little amazing how little time this attraction (these coasters) lasted. And just as Amazing how long SOB has stood the test of time. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Batman and Robin, The Chiller: 6/7/1997 (briefly), in reality 1998-2007 (with the Batman side being down almost all of the last several years) Son of Beast, May 26 and the morning of 27, 2000, then closed for weeks, then 2000-late season 2005. Memorial Day, 2006--July 9, 2006; 7/4/2007--??? Quote

King Maple The Tree King Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Excellent Chiller videos. Such an interesting design, sad to see it go... ^Robin side POV, the batman side hardly ever worked in the last few years. Quote
Raptor66 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Sigh. Haha, my marching band is playing the same song as in that video. Yeah, off topic, I know, I just felt like pointing that out. Quote
