Personally, if and when PKI gets a B&M coaster, I sincerly hope that it is not a floorless. I rode Batman Knight Flight up at SFWoA (now Dominator and Guaga Lake) in 2002. I was not that impressed with the ride. Yeah, it was a fun ride, and I would be happy if PKI did get one, but I would rather PKI get an inverted coaster from B&M.

I predict a new ride for '05, possibly a coaster, but thats just a wild guess.

I also predict a new Paint Job for a few big metal objects in the park.

Lastly I predict lots of lights, cold air, and holiday fun for everyone in 2005.

yeah, its called IJ:ST

where have you been?

If anyone took that online survey about the ride concepts at all, 2006 will be the year that PKI gets Hollywood-ified as they call it. I can see either another Nick Central expansion, or maybe a combination of that and either the Mission:Impossible Stunt Show or MTV Shockwave.

Either 2007 or 2008 will be the year that we get another BIG ride that everyone's predicting.

2005 can probably also see a return of Winterfest. And will we see a new motion simulator next to SpongeBob that's actually GOOD, or is it just going to e SpongeBob again?

Personally, I want to see the return of 7th Portal. Who's with me?! jerry.gif

(sadly, no one raises their hands.)

^ nice dream. I have those a lot.

I've only been to PKI once in my life last year, but I'd like to see something original. What they're doing with IJ:ST is VERY original, and I like it. I may be a Cedar Fair Season Passholder (boo me all you want, but Michigan's Adventure, Cedar Point, and Geauga Lake are all closer to me than PKI), but I have to say that Cedar Fair hasn't been too original with their new attractions with the exception of Hydra and Silver Bullet this year.

What do I mean by something original? It's hard to decide. S&S is doing some great work in both their wooden and steel departments lately, and Vekoma's got some great new concepts (gah, I complemented Vekoma... weird.gif ). B&M hasn't come up with many new things, and Intamin's really focusing on their rockets. I say stick with S&S for the next big thing...

I dont want ANY RIDES or COASTERS!!! Im being serious. I want a restraunt and more trash cans and benches a long the midways and to clean the park up.

I agree. The park needs to be cleaned up more than anything. I hope that this will happen soon.

In all honesty, I think the park has been making many improvements over the past couple of years when it comes to cleanliness. Also, they have been spending money on more painting of lots of the buildings and rides in the past couple of seasons. But, they still have a long way to improve, to get to the level of Holiday World or Disney.

my 2 cents on this subject. Kings Island in 2006... who knows.. we;ll just have to wait and see but if i had a say so in it which I don't. Addams Family ride is defintily my choice. A small coaster, a dark ride.. who cares.. I don't believe KI has ever had a haunted house of sorts.. (There's the Phantom ride sure.. but that was never scary, it was kinda cool though). WHat we need is somethign better than that.. maybe not frightening but at least a bit scarier. something that will make you think twice about even getting on it. Look at what Busch Garden's is doing this year in Williamsburg. That Darkkastle ride is gonna be sweet. KI probaly wouldn't spend that much money on a ride in 2006 though after the Italian Job but we coudl at least get something close. I never read that survey that some people have mentioned.. wish I could.. perhaps if they did something like Blazing Fury from Dollywood. has anyone ever rode that. it's got some neat things going on such as the train and the water splash at the end. Something like this themed to the Addam's Family, a bit longer, a few more thrills.. and maybe a huge drop at the end into a cemetary.. (maybe drop right into a grave) would be neat IMO.

a few thoughts on coasters.. I'd like to see one of those new flying coasters like the Borg in Carowinds, or a new suspended coaster not like TOp GUn (Top Gun is nice but over with way to quick and not as exciting as the other Top Gun ride) something more along the lines of T2 in KY Kingdom, just with a much smoother ride. will we get one next year doubtful..but you never know. I'd say we won't see a major new coaster til 2008.. that's just guessing I have no real evidence to support that.. just a theory and opinion.

Alos.. maybe if Paramount get's some major bucks from attendance this year and has some great blockbuster movies that top the charts.. maybe we will get a major attraction in 2006.. here's to dreaming.

my final thoughts.. the Hyper/Giga.. who cares... ohhh it's so tall.. such a huge drop.. so fast. I could care less.. if i want fast i'll go drive my Camaro.. Vortex and Beast have enough of a drop to thrill. I wouldn't ride it cause it doesn't seem that exciting to me. Give me The Beast anyday, one of my favorite coasters was taken out last year and that's the King Cobra.. the first coaster with a loop I ever rode. fond memories now gone. the last reason we'll probaly never see a hyper or giga coaster at KI.. they don't have the space unless the wind it between other rides. i mean it's possible.. but I think it would be a waste of money IMO..

I am getting a vision. Yes, yes, it is all becoming clear to me now. PKI will definitely get a new ride for next year. There you have it folks! wink.gif

This is my official prediction:

Nick Central will be revamped adding... let's say 3 new attractions, and at the same time they'll retheme HBL to NC. It would be perfect to do it all at once for marketing reasons.

I just think that adding one attraction at a time is too "small game" for the park now.

Holiday world isn’t even in the same class of amusement park as PKI.

[gasp]

you didnt just, no, no you didnt!

I really dont think he went there!

oh he did, he is dissing my homepark, the park i have visited since i was really small.

I have gone every year since the unveiling of Splashin Safari in 1993, and a few times before that, i went.

never once did i ride Firecracker, but i would love to ride a pinfari zyklon!

dude, look at the quality of the park, has any paramount park ever won the Applause Award?

ha ha ha, Holiday World has!!!

[/2 cents]
