So basically No One will get them until the weekend. If they open at 10 and close at 4 that is bankers hours and people with jobs will have no time till the weekend. Why not do it from 4 - 8 PM. I am sure they would get a lot more people then.

KIBeast
Wow! You give people something for free and they still complain!
mikejenkins1
No, I am just saying that this seems very odd since it is not the summer and I would bet 98% of the people that want to get it will be at work. So why not move hours to 4 - 8 when people CAN pick it up. Not like it is just up the street and I live somewhat close. Just thinking that it is odd timings. Banks finally learned and got hours for people to get to them, why not a simple task like this.
PKIVortex
Some people said they got there jackets last Sunday. Are they a possibably they may have them to hand out tonight? I live an hour away from the park, and rather not make another trek up that way, if I don't have too?
KIBeast
Maybe 4-8pm is not a good time for them?
Losantiville
Some people said they got there jackets last Sunday. Are they a possibably they may have them to hand out tonight? I live an hour away from the park, and rather not make another trek up that way, if I don't have too? I just got off the phone with the park and they said that tha jackets are not in. I plan on heading there tonight as well wanting to get my jacket.

Browntggrr
No, I am just saying that this seems very odd since it is not the summer and I would bet 98% of the people that want to get it will be at work. So why not move hours to 4 - 8 when people CAN pick it up. Perhaps you are exactly correct. It is not summer anymore. The seasonal workers are not working at the park anymore. All that is left are regular full time employees. So now you expect someone to change their life around to give out free jackets to people who may or may not show up? Comparing banks to a seasonal park is apples and oranges. People don't have to go to the park, but they have to go to the bank. I really cannot believe that some are making this such a big deal. It's a free jacket. If you don't get it in 2007, what harm is there in waiting till 2008?
Gordon Bombay
Probably because it was promised to them, and it was an incentive to buying the pass.
Browntggrr
Probably because it was promised to them, and it was an incentive to buying the pass. Yes, it was an incentive. Hence the free part. And sure it was promised, but the promise was not just for 2007, but with purchase of the 2008 pass. Which you can still get in 2008. Gordon Bombay
They also told people it would be available at the park at a certain time, maybe some of those people went out of their way to plan one last visit since they wanted to get the jacket. Sure, crap happens, theyll have to wait for the jacket and deal with it, but people still are dissapointed. Just because your not doesn't mean these people dont have a legitimate gripe. It looks like a nice jacket.
Browntggrr
Yeah, it looks like a great jacket. But still, if I actually went out of my way to go to the park (I find that difficult to do ) so what. I still was able to go to the park that I have a season pass to and spend another day there. Not being able to get my jacket is not going to ruin my day. Perhaps it is just me, but if I had to go out of my way to go get a free jacket that I am entitled to either in 2007 or in 2008, I have much bigger issues than to be pi$$ed off at the park because I couldn't get it. A bad day at the park is still better than a good day at work.
Screwball
I bought my passes on the 30th, and we picked up our jackets at the same time. They only had large left, and appeared to be running out when we received ours.
BoddaH1994
Less than 5% of season pass sales are non-renewals. Know what that means? People will buy season passes no matter what. The jacket thing likely didn't affect Kings Island's season pass sales. They're doing it as a way of thanking you for your support. Regardless of what people have said, Cedar Fair does appreciate those who purchase their season passes and daily tickets and visits the park. KIBeast
I want to buy a SP for all of the parks, jacket or no. Really, I could care less about the jacket. And yes, I do see why people are disappointed. But, there's no point sweating the small stuff in life. Example: I lost my phone first thing on my last trip, That could have ruined my whole day. But, I was not about to let that happen. I didn't travel 3 hours to have my day ruined over something minor.
KIfan73
If I purchase a pass online, do I need to a make a trip to the park to have it processed before next spring?
The Interpreter
If it is a Platinum Pass, you for now MUST process it at the park where you purchased it if you buy it online. It CANNOT be used at any other Cedar Fair park until it is processed. If Kings Island is the first park you are going to visit, this is not a big deal. If it isn't, there could be a real problem. Don't ask me how I know this.... Also be aware that processing lines are shorter now than they will be next spring. MUCH shorter.
PKIVortex
No, you can get it processed next year, and pickup your jacket in the spring. November 11th is just the deadline for free jackets, and probably the price will go up. I was trying to pick up my jacked on the 31st, but they said they didn't have any, but was excepting there big shipment by the 5th. They did say they were having some brought in around 8:30 on the 31st, but I didn't feel like messing with it. I'm going up on the 6th to get mine. KIfan73
Actually, I just was talking about a pass for KI. If I purchase a KI pass online now, I was trying to figure out if I needed to make a trip to the park to have it processed, or if I could just have it processed on my first visit to the park next spring. The Interpreter
You can wait to process, but again, the lines will be MUCH longer. As long as you are aware of that, there should be no problem.
KIfan73
Thanks. The long lines are OK. I just would like to lock into that price, and get the free parking. I'm not really even worried about the jacket (of course I'll be glad to get it, if it works out!). Thanks again.
