RaptorGuy Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I am doing a headcount for anyone who wants to attend Winter SOAR. I need sort of a headcount on anyone who is going. There is no preregistration, but just need to give the golf course an idea of how much food to prepare. If you are planning to attend, please let me know at ACESOARRegion@yahoo.com. We are opening this to KIC members, as well as other coaster clubs. So feel free to come, just need an idea if you are coming, and you can pay the $25 at the door when you arrive. We are giving away neat prizes from several local parks. Here is the information on it, in case you have not seen it. http://www.aceonline.org/events/details.aspx?event=107 We are looking forward to a good time, and we look forward to seeing you there. BoddaH1994 Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Winter SOAR is a great time. This will be about my 5th year attending. I recommend it to anyone who's free Saturday night but it's a great way to learn the latest and greatest info about some of your favorite parks as well as make some new friends. Confirmed for the event are Don Helbig from Kings Island and Tony Clark from Cedar Point who will be on hand to talk about their parks and answer any questions you may have. See you there, Ryan Quote
CoastersNSich Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I will be heading home from Columbus for Spring Break on Saturday, so I look forward to coming! Quote
italianchef Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I wish that I could make it, but I'll be out of town this weekend. Quote
Monroe Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 ^More and More impressive every day Gordon. I think I will have to start calling you Jimmy Olson or Peter Parker. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 haha thanks, I'd prefer Jimmy Olson though cause I hate the Spiderman movies. Although Parker did get an attractive girl and Olson was a wuss... Anyways, that day I will be down at the department doing a third ride along for an assignment I am shooting. Mr. Neal, thank you for your invitation, SOAR is always a blast, but I unfortunately can not attend this year. Quote
Monroe Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 ^Well Jimmy did spend more time around the cops than Peter, and my wife reminds me that Peter did get the girl every time the rain starts to fall in Spiderman 1. I would go with Jimmy too just to keep my wife off my back. Quote
MarketingExpress Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I'll be down at the Police Station. Nice Pics Gordon Quote
Captain Nemo Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I've gone to SOAR in the past and have always had a wonderful time. This will be my first time not attending but I look forward to hearing what people thought of it. Quote
Mikewhy Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I will be attending along with my girlfriend! I am looking forward to it. Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Click on the link in the first post in this thread, and you, too, shall know.... Quote
DropZone99 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Click on the link in the first post in this thread, and you, too, shall know.... I clicked it and it said..."The golf center at KI" that just about it. Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Try this direct link to the flyer: http://www.aceonline.org/fliers/WinterSOAR2008.pdf Note you must be an ACE member or a guest of an ACE member to attend... Quote
Cory Butcher Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Actually, it was said on a similar thread that the event was open to KIC members. EDIT: It was said on this very thread! see post #1! Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Yep, I see that now...it's changed since the flyer... It IS open to members of this forum. Thanks for catching that. Quote
Vortex Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Well looks like I can't come. I be at work doing paper work. Quote
Ki Man Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I might be there. It doesn't look like much, though. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 My favorite part of SOAR 2007 was when they said my name and someone yelled "I HATE that guy." Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 In 06 Dane and I got booed when we won door prizes. I thought it was funny. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Does it count as a real boo though when its me doing it? Quote
Ki Man Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Meh I've decided I'm not going to go. Maybe if this was presented abit earlier than, say...a few days ago But it just doesn't seem worth it for the money. I mean, you just sit, listen, eat, and have a chance at winning someone. LOL now this is a true ACEr event hahaha Quote
TOPGUN1993 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I highly recommend going... From what I've been told there will be a lot of give aways this year. Quote
Beast1979 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Give aways? When will this event take place? Quote
Ki Man Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I highly recommend going... From what I've been told there will be a lot of give aways this year. Well, the temptation of getting Super Smash Bros. Brawl fell in and I can bet that spending 4 hours playing that is better than any ACE meeting. Quote
Vortex Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 How was it this year? Anything new going on at Kings Island? Quote
