At the time I was terrified of coasters, but really enjoyed looking at them and reading and such...that summer was the first summer I really started to enjoy riding them too. Since then I've been a dedicated reader, I don't post so much since I live a couple hours away and don't get to go very often so I rarely have anything intelligent to add.

May 8, 2014. Around the time I realized I could just go to the park alone rather than give up roller coasters any longer just because I didn't have anyone to go with. Best decision I made, and in many

(Thought I already posted in this thread... Apparently not, since 90% of its posts are from before I joined.) September 2008. That was a couple months after I joined KIExtreme, which, for me, is now

Eleven long, long years ago, during a much, much different time.

I just joined today! I have lurked on these forums many times in the past, but finally found the time to register. I came up with my name, DarkBeast, because The Beast is my favorite wooden coaster, and I LOVE it in the dark!

^Welcome, Beast! My names Beast. Err... wait.

Yes, no ride on The Beast is complete without an after dark remach.

I joined March 22, 2007. I was looking for pictures of Kings Island to use for work (just to advertise to our members that we were selling consignment tickets from the park) and when I googled KI, I found this site. I don't think that I post that often, but I do read almost everyday.

24-April 07

I was looking at www.screamscape.com for updates on Firehawk and found out that the pictures were coming from here. So I started reading this for a while and eventually got a user name.

A year tomorrow! WOOHOOOO

I joined in May of 2007 in prep for a trip to KI. This forum has been so valuable to me in terms of KI info.

I joined last summer the day I got stuck on tomb raider because I wanted to post about it.

I'm a child of the merger.

I was young, scared, and had nobody's hand to hold.

I was young, scared, and had nobody's hand to hold.

That's how some of us felt about the Cedar Fair/Paramount Parks acquistion.

Well, except for the young part...

I joined March 28th. 2007 but lurked the forums for about 6 months until i joined.

I joined August 8, 2008, at 02:21 AM.

I finally signed up for the text alerts last night.

July 6, 06!!

Just as I was really getting into the enthusiast and traveling thing!

After lurking on and off on KIC since college in like 2003 (thanks to the link on RCDB.com!!), I finally joined right after spending three straight days at KI since I was off from work for the holiday (living in Deerfield Twp.). Then I realized, I freakin love this park!! So I joined KIC.

While thankful that I power rode SOB about 25 times during those 3 days, I'm sad after joining I only got TWO more looped SOB rides! :( The loop was definitely fun! :D

I never joined KICentral, but I joined PKICentral...

Only 3 years ago but man I remember when it was announced that CF acquired, lots of folks were ready to jump and there were those of us that cheered.

July 6, 06!!

Well, actually July 3, 2006...those first three days for you must have been so much fun they are hard to remember! :)

Terpy, who just HAD to

It would be interesting to see when we all joined the forums and see how many patrons we have still on the forums. If you were part of the PKIU merger make sure you tell us that.

-Cheers

I joined in 2004.

August 20, 2003. This website is almost five years old! Crazy.

I joined 8/21/04

I have been here for over 4 years, but strangely I only have a little over 200 posts. Strange, no?

Yep, but quality is far more important than quantity....the guy who posts the most here may or may not have anything important to say...(it all depends on the post!) :)

You bring a lot to this site...your incredible doodles, your game pictures...

:)

I know one when I see one.

I joined October 1st in 2002. I believe I was one of the first to sign back up when the sites merged. Obviously I wasn't much of a poster, but I feel like I'm getting better.

I had a rather lengthy abscence for almost the past 2 years, but with the addition of our daughter to our family there wasnt a whole lot of free time.

Im still hoping KICentral Survivor comes back. Now that was a great way to spend the off seasson. Im still bitter that I didn't win. hahaha ;)

It's interesting to see people come and go...there are some that don't come around anymore that I miss reading from...the atmosphere has definitely changed since i joined oh so long ago...back when a certain company still put the P in PKI, can I still say that? Is it taboo? However I think it's moved for the better and being on here has definitely given me a sense of belonging, now that Im in college and can fend for myself, I'll start trying to go to more events and such.

I always looked around KICentral since '06 but I finally joined on January 12, 2008

The environment has definately changed around here. I remember the merger of the 2 sites and the dropping of the P from PKIC. Things are for the better and this community has really grown. Especially while I was in the basement this place really grew.
