LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I know this is off topic, but I am wondering if the X-Base themed section of the park will ever become a new section separate from the Coney Mall? I have wondered this myself. I would think this would be just as good a place to expand as any. I always liked the idea of connecting X-Base with Action Zone but it seems like there's too much stuff (AE, SOB, go-karts) in the way to make that happen. flightoffear1996
You could get rid of the go karts and go around Adventure Express. The problem is the terrian there isn't flat and would cost a fourtune pave a pathway back there.

I agree it is not flat, but I don't think it would cost a lot of money. Bulldoze here and there and your set. O and the go carts need to be updated maybe to a different area and a better track maybe throw in a idk RIGHT TURN???? WHAAAAAA???
goofywdw
I've been back there on a little short-cut on the way back from break. We went over next to the FOF exit and went through a gate. Behind the race, underneath the AE station and on a path back behind the go carts. There's already a little maintenance path so I don't think it would be that hard. Just get rid of those go carts that are a waste of space.
Colonel_SoB_fan
they will not remove the go carts untill people stop paying money for them Also are those rocks in this pic
CoastersRZ
I don`t think that those are rocks. Likely just some sort of equipment that was left there before it snowed. However, they MIGHT be preparing to move the first cars onto the storage track. There is a crane over by the storage "track" area, and there are several people walking around the maintenance area of Diamondback.

teenageninja
Hmmm, very interesting, maybe they are planning on doing the pull through this week.
coaster_junky
i have a question, why doesn't Diamondback's track set as deep in the "trench" in the spashdown as much as sheikra's and griffons?
Go Browns
Different style trains, improved design, could be your perspective, or maybe they are not finished yet.

I think that might be because dive machine track is huge. That's just what I think.
kittenpooh
Looks like they have done alot of work on the que area today. The ramp has changed.
coaster_junky
there are some new pictures on Diamondback's web-site! but still no trains http://kiDiamondback.com/public/latest/gallery/
goofywdw
Why are there 2 paths for the exit? Is one going to be a ramp for wheel chairs and stuff and the other stairs?
coaster_junky
^maybe it's to keep the crowd thinned out at the exit so there isn't a giant mob there.?
vortexfan
One path will probably lead to the gift shop/photo booth while the other will probably lead to the main path for those who don't care about pictures or merchandise.

I just noticed the new pictures. I was also wondering why in the world the exit split like that.
derek9312
One ramp, the left ramp from that angle, will most likely lead to the On-Ride-Photo booth and Gift shop and the other ramp will lead directly into Rivertown.
coaster_junky
^if that is what the two ramps are used for i am happy, that means not being jammed into a small giftshop with fifty other people like with maverick.
goofywdw
Yeah that sounds pretty good to me. At least they aren't forcefully dumping you off into a gift shop like a lot of parks. Plus I hate the build up at the photo booths and you can't get by like at SOB. I know which path I will be taking lots of times opening day. LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I wonder how many guys, still dazed by the awesome ride they've just experienced, are going to start down the ramp in the middle of the crowd, looking up at the staggering height of the hill they just dropped from, and BAM; no more having kids. teenageninja
Interesting... I'm surprised they are allowing people to bypass the exit path.
RailRider
Im wondering because of the split in the exit path if one of those bridges could be for a single rider line. Have it enter the other side of the station and it would be much more effective that way and help lessen some of the congestion on the que side.
goofywdw
^Ohhhhhh that would be nice. Then the entrace side of the station would work well because if there isn't a single rider line over there then they don't need an attendent to tell people where to sit. I hope you are right. tigellinus
^^Fire up my "cookie" pic, cuz I'm predicting no significant single rider line! Of course, I love being wrong!!
