It is nice to see thar pki is trying to stay on top of the kids area. However, they need to remember that it is dad and mom spending thier hard earned money along with young adults. And the young adults have a lot more money to spend than most families do. I'm sure they along with the parents want to see something more thrilling go in also.

When my wife and I went alone last year, we didn't go near HB or NC. We stayed in AZ, CM, and Captain Dans deck. And yes we spent more money that day alone than we do when we have our kids with us.

Well, I don't think that PKI gets a new kiddie ride every year. They may get one every other year. Because starting in 2000, they began adding a thrill ride one year, and a family attraction the next year. The only exception being last year, when they did the Boomerang Bay expansion. I think that classifies more of a family attraction.

2005 is the year of IJ:ST, which is more of a thrill ride than a family coaster, so 2006 will probably be the year that they either expand Nick Central, or go with their "Hollywood-ifying" and begin adding in more movie-based rides, with that Mission: Impossible Stunt Show or the MTV Shockwave or something that would appeal to everyone.

^ That train of thought is what's ruining the amusement industry.

Why would you say that? it's nice to have family rides b/c not everyone can ride extreme thrill rides because of height restrictions and other factors. Just b/c someone thinks family rides are a good thing for a park to have doesn't mean that it's ruining the amusement industry, if anything, it's making shorter kids have a better day if they weren't tall enough for a coaster or something they really wanted to ride.

i do also agree that there should be lots of thrills, but you have to consider everyone. lots of people go on family vacations to theme parks.
