Old Pki Pictures

Featured Replies

Search the web, as they can be found all over the place, when each new ride was installed. If really interested, yahoo groups has a pki old picture group I think. I used to get their mailings, but don't anymore.

Heres some pics from Ki back in 1981 i found on a website

KI 1981

Ive think i have some old character pics from way back when i was little and back even farther to when they had the hair bear bunch .

What used to be where Shake, Rattle, and Roll is? Because that's definately not it in the picture of The Bat...

I think Shake Rattle and Roll used to be on the main stretch in Coney Mall, I'm not really sure though.

Sure Shake Rattle and Roll is there... look again:

Shake Rattle and Roll has never been located anywhere but where it is now. It was added in 1975 when KI expanded Coney Mall. Coney Mall (Then themed to and called "Coney Island" after the defunct park across town.) used to end just where the Zephyr, or swings, now sits. A High striker game is currently right in the area that originally ended that section. But in 1975 the Mall was lengthened and rides such as Shake Rattle and Roll, Zodiac (later replaced with Flight Commander) and Cinema 180 were added.

Those KI opening day photos are awesome. I wonder what happened to all that space that used to exist, between the stores/shops on Int'l Street, and the fountain? It would be nice if there was still that much space, but instead of those nice bushes, now we have lots of grass and concerete and iron fence. I think that PKI should restore Int'l street to look like that, and the park could be awesome again.

There has to be a reason for the change on International Street so it's not a problem. could be to make it look a little nicer.

I couldn't find the "Electric Rainbow" ride that used to stand by The Bat's station in the 1981 pic link above... was it there in 1981 or was it removed before the 1981 season?

We will find out in a few weeks if what @fyrfyter suggested will happen!
