Inherently some who won't be able to go. If you want to sell your spot that's fine but you must inform the KIC staff of the transaction and any tickets found to be sold above face value will be invalidated.

aw what ever happened to free-market? I was looking to make a buck :(

Ha, just kidding!

Roger that...I swear on my KIC membership (which is nothing to take lightly!!) that I will only re-sell for face value. As an honest person, I wouldn't have it any other way, either.

Unfortunately I am out of the country for awhile and unable to attend the event if I could've bought tickets. I look forward to seeing everyone's photos and reports! For those who weren't able to get tickets, don't worry, I'm sure the KIC staff and the awesome members here will have plenty to share.

Just something amusing I saw today....ACE announced their winter event, it's twice the cost for the same features and you have to be a member of that organization. What a joke! I'm glad there is a community like KIC that caters to a wide variety of guests rather than the elite Sam's Club of amusement enthusiasts.

-King Maple, glad he stopped being an ACE member in the early 90's!

Now now, lets not be mean. Although, King Maple does bring up some valid arguments for why he no longer is in ACE. Everyone can have their opinion.

With regards to the events, yes, KIC`s event was half the cost of ACE`s winter Soar for non-ACE members. The KIC event also sold out within days of the tickets going on sale, at the very busy Christmas season. And the KIC event is featuring food that is not customary for the Winter Soar events.

I myself used to be an ACE member from January 2001 through January 2007. I am no longer a member. My reasoning was that I never really went to any of the events, save for the fall event at KI a couple of times. Additionally, by the time I received my ACE publications, the news was a couple months old already, and I knew about the information from the internet. I simply did not go to enough events and did not get enough out of the publications to justify my membership dues. Some people might really enjoy being ACE members, but they sometimes do not have the best stereotype in the industry. As the saying goes, sometimes a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch.

I am an ACE member, but for the time being I pay for events only, of which I only attend about 2 a year. It is likely that once I start paying for membership that I will not renew, simply because I do not think it is worth the 60 bucks a year for old news and a handfull of events.

It's not about the events...it's about the "status" of being a member, and seeing all the people in the parks bow to your greatness!!!!

LOL

At least thats how the people in ACE seem when I see them in the parks!!!!

Now, I'm just kidding around, no need to reply with

"Hey! I've been a member for X number of years, and I don't do that"

You ALL know what I'm talking about....LOL
