indianapolisman Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 ^ Dido for me. I was looking forward to this since it was the "Third coming" thread. I'm almost sure anyone lucky enough to go isn't gonna give them up though. Quote
tigellinus Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Actually, I have two and my attendance is definitely not confirmed yet. So I'll keep you posted. Quote

G-Force Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Yeah I have three but I am not sure if one of them will be able to go yet so you guys might get lucky! Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 Inherently some who won't be able to go. If you want to sell your spot that's fine but you must inform the KIC staff of the transaction and any tickets found to be sold above face value will be invalidated. Quote
hamoperator Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Put me down for looking for two (2) if someone decides they cannot go. waiting in the PM line.... Mom and Peanut would like to go. Quote
robintodd Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I am looking for 2 - 4 also. Can't believe it sold out so quickly! I just got back from a Xmas trip and was going to purchase tickets and boom! Glad to see the high interest though. I'm only 20 minutes from the park so "last minute" would be fine BoddaH Todd Quote

Roger that...I swear on my KIC membership (which is nothing to take lightly!!) that I will only re-sell for face value. As an honest person, I wouldn't have it any other way, either. Quote
Justin_M17 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I'll be there for sure! I wouldn't miss a chance to see KI in January XD Nevermind, it's sold out If someone would sell me a spare ticket I'd be highly appreciative. Quote
Dane Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If someone is trading tickets because they arnt going to show up, they need to let me know because the new people will not be on the list. Quote
coaster_junky Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 ^ dane, did you get my pm i sent you earlier? Quote
tigellinus Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If someone is trading tickets because they arnt going to show up, they need to let me know because the new people will not be on the list. Well, just to be clear, I am still hoping/planning to go as of Dec 30th. Quote
Kawana Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Sorry, folks. I couldn't sell my extra ticket if I wanted to (that one is my girlfriend's). We'll both be there. If anything changes, I'll do my best to see if I can hook someone up. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I'm sure everyone who got tickets is going and so many people have already asked, but I'll take 1 or 2 tickets off someone if they find out they can't go. Quote
King Maple The Tree King Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Unfortunately I am out of the country for awhile and unable to attend the event if I could've bought tickets. I look forward to seeing everyone's photos and reports! For those who weren't able to get tickets, don't worry, I'm sure the KIC staff and the awesome members here will have plenty to share. Just something amusing I saw today....ACE announced their winter event, it's twice the cost for the same features and you have to be a member of that organization. What a joke! I'm glad there is a community like KIC that caters to a wide variety of guests rather than the elite Sam's Club of amusement enthusiasts. -King Maple, glad he stopped being an ACE member in the early 90's! Quote
TOPGUN1993 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 So you stopped being an ACE member when you were 3ish?... wow Quote
CoastersRZ Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Now now, lets not be mean. Although, King Maple does bring up some valid arguments for why he no longer is in ACE. Everyone can have their opinion. With regards to the events, yes, KIC`s event was half the cost of ACE`s winter Soar for non-ACE members. The KIC event also sold out within days of the tickets going on sale, at the very busy Christmas season. And the KIC event is featuring food that is not customary for the Winter Soar events. I myself used to be an ACE member from January 2001 through January 2007. I am no longer a member. My reasoning was that I never really went to any of the events, save for the fall event at KI a couple of times. Additionally, by the time I received my ACE publications, the news was a couple months old already, and I knew about the information from the internet. I simply did not go to enough events and did not get enough out of the publications to justify my membership dues. Some people might really enjoy being ACE members, but they sometimes do not have the best stereotype in the industry. As the saying goes, sometimes a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. Quote
King Maple The Tree King Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 So you stopped being an ACE member when you were 3ish?... wow 3? I don't think they had ACE in 1953, I believe it was founded some time in 1977. I stopped being an ACE member in 1993 when I was 43. Quote
Beast1979 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I am an ACE member, but for the time being I pay for events only, of which I only attend about 2 a year. It is likely that once I start paying for membership that I will not renew, simply because I do not think it is worth the 60 bucks a year for old news and a handfull of events. Quote

It's not about the events...it's about the "status" of being a member, and seeing all the people in the parks bow to your greatness!!!! LOL At least thats how the people in ACE seem when I see them in the parks!!!! Now, I'm just kidding around, no need to reply with "Hey! I've been a member for X number of years, and I don't do that" You ALL know what I'm talking about....LOL Quote
Oldschool75 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Will we get some ticket via email or some kind of confirmation? Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Read the posts above you....there is no ticket as such. There is the receipt if you paid by Paypal, an email confirmation otherwise, I presume... Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 If anyone wants confirmation of payments, PM me. Quote
