Bouncing Basketballs....Here....(!?)

Featured Replies

So it's not enough I get annoyed (and how) by bouncing basketball NOISES in parks?

Now a banner ad here is doing it.

I thought noise making ads weren't allowed here. Am I wrong?

Terpy, old fussbudget (and annoyed by bouncing ball sounds)

Yes, the ads on here are not supposed to make any noise. I personally have not witnessed said advertisement yet. What was it advertising?

I see said ad at the top of this thread 0o of course don't hear anything... probably good thing.

EDIT: Ok I turned my Media player off and now I hear it.

bouncing basketballs..

If I get hit with one of those this year, I'm going to throw it so hard that they will never find it again.

Dang basketball ad is really getting annoying...it is on seemingly every thread I go to, I must be getting unlucky...

Seems like it's the Wright State Sports Blog that's sponsoring it...

It would appear that way wouldn't it? :P

*while shrugging shoulders* I personally like the sound of Baskteballs bouncing....*while shrugging shoulders*

I always see it but never hear it. Thank you media player/Weird Al :) lol gotta have my earphones and music whenever I'm web surfing. The actual volume control on my computer I have set on a low so its not all that loud anyway... if it was this REALLY loud bouncy noise like I normally would have heard at Kings Island happen out of nowhere over my music, then I would have went through the roof cause more than likely I wasn't expecting it. It's more annoying.. so I just drown in it out.

What I find annoying about it are the same things I find annoying about the dribbling basketball noise in the park:

* I cannot control it, never know when it is going to happen and it always causes me to recoil just a bit.

* I am doing something else I particularly enjoy (the same thing in both cases, actually), taking in the glory that is Kings Island, when suddenly...bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce....

I just saw it again!!!! LOL!

I just put Internet Explorer on mute after hearing it for the first 20 times!

I wished that worked in theme and amusement parks. I really find that bouncing, bouncing, bouncing that I cannot control annoying, and never dreamed it would even find its way here!

Oh the irony!

Just think, it makes you feel more like you're in the park! :D

(or you could do like I shamefully admit to doing ... and use AdBlock for Firefox - I only started using it after my favorite forum began using smart text ads. They drive me bonkers.)

I always use Firefox. What drives me nuts is that the college I go to has been having issues with their website, so assignment submissions are only allowed through Internet Explorer (ugh).

My IE is so stupid. I have ad blocker enabled on it, but I still get them. I'll open IE, then it's only a matter of seconds before I get a popup, then the popup refuses to close and I get a system error message.

I see it, but can't hear it since I am temporarily at my old place making another run...I am not going to miss these noisy (insert favorite profanity here) neighbors.

Yeah, I've had issues with submission forms before on Firefox, but I very, very rarely go outside Firefox. The online math class I'm taking uses a site that's not real friendly with Firefox, and AdBlock for some reason blocks the content in the submission area, so I have to disable all my pop-up blockers and AdBlock to do my homework!

Hearing the balls bouncing in the park make me wish that I had the skills of a so-so punter. Just enough to go over to the kid with his pants practically around his ankles and his flat billed hat tilted to the side, take the ball, punt it away, and watch him stare in disbelief.

(Scene in a doctor's office.)

Doctor: "And how are you today Mr. Interpreter?"

"Mr." Interpreter: "Oh much better doctor...the bounce, bounce, bounce seems gone this morning."
