fyrfyter
A buffet wouldn't work at PKI. they coudl enver charge enough to make money, because lots of people would eat tons of food. Having a sit down restaurant would be nice though, however, people aren't gonna pay the high food prices in the park for that restaurant, when they can leave, drive 1/2 mile up the road, and pay normal prices. I don;t think PKI will put in a restaurant like that, just for that reason.

teenageninja
Actually Cedar Point has a buffet right on the main midway. So obviously they make money. Also, people that come for a day don't want the hastle of leaving and coming back.
Stitch
Buffetts may work technicly but this one is really just a matter of Opinion.
Captain Picard
i think if you leave you would have to pay to park when you get back

Outdoor Man
i am going to go on a limb and say that the park of 2010 will be vastly different than that of 2009. I will place my voice to: Son of Beast being removed Flight Deck being removed or significantly altered. Overhaul or removal of the Crypt
rotag
I see FD leavin, but not within the next 2 years.

Coney Islander
4. Festhaus I really have never even considered Festhaus leaving. Its the largest restaurant in the park, and it's always busy. With it's removal, though, Octoberfest would be "big" again, and would have enough room for quite a few more rides.
coaster_junky
I really have never even considered Festhaus leaving. Its the largest restaurant in the park, and it's always busy. well Son of Beast is the largest roller coaster in the park, (amount of building material) and always has a long line, so if we go by this, if we're lucky, it will stay. i'm back!!!!!!!! lol
JAHill
5. International Restaurant building What? Edit: Nevermind. Someone already replied to that.
flightoffear1996
Festhaus I could see leaving. That building takes up alot of space and it could be easily replaced with a smaller building and some nice sized flat rides could go there. The ET will never leave the park unless it is forced by a natural distar.
teenageninja
I doubt they'll tear down any building. They are expensive and always have an alternative use. Even if Crypt leaves, look for it's building to be used for something.
CedarPointer
5. International Restaurant building You do know that's also the entrance building, right? Yes. I could easily see them removing it- or even changing the existing one- to give it a less dated look.
Coney Islander
^ The only thing I can think of that would make the building less "dated" would be building a oversized IPod in it's place. Something more beautiful, like Geauga Lake's would be wonderful.

CincyMan98
The Festhaus I think will never leave, I mean, the actual building itself. They may use it for something different soon though. Edit: I just realized this was first added in 2003! The first post said "Magella's Grill" and I was thinking....what? And it says PKI That made me laugh. CedarPointer
Since CF doesn't care about theming, I have a feeling it could end up as a ride location eventually.
Coney Islander
^ Festhaus is the largest restaurant at Kings Island. In taking it away, Cedar Fair would either have to build another similar place, or just let guests deal with longer food lines all over the park.
CedarPointer
We already have a LaRosa's, and Panda Express could easily be relocated somewhere else in the park. (A certain building by Vortex comes to mind...)
Coney Islander
Yes, but the Festhaus building is large enough to comfortably deal with any crowds on any day. These other buildings are smaller, thus have less seating... also isn't Festhaus King's Island's required tornado shelter?
Diamondback FOF
Kings Island has many other tornado shelters, too...
Coney Islander
Ok, I've always imagined, in case of a tornado, everyone in the park being packed into Festhaus...
