BoddaH1994
Kings Island, Ohio – Ronny Salerno, a rides supervisor at Kings Island, looks at the new entrance sign for The Beast roller coaster on Thursday. The Beast, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest wooden roller coaster in the world at 7,400 feet, celebrates its 30th anniversary season in 2009. Kings Island opens for preview weekends Saturday, April 18 (closed April 19). Daily operation begins May 22. A newly redesigned Rivertown will show off "Ride Warriors" banners to promote Diamondback, Kings Island's 230' steel monster set to open in April. CoastersRZ
I really like the new banners on the light poles! That was one of the things I commented on when I went to Carowinds a couple of weeks ago. The banners really added a festive atmosphere to the park. I`m glad Kings Island is incorporating some of these.
kiruler102
Hey it looks like my neighborhood. LOL!!! I am not used of seeing banners in parks, but great touch. The Beast sign looks neat, cant wait to look at the entrance area.
AgentSoB
The banners look great... I hope that they are elsewhere throughout the park. I think it is a nice touch. The sign for The Beast is great too. It looks a lot like the old one.
CedarPointer
I really like the banners. They did a nice job blending them in, and making them look non-cheesy. An example of cheesy would be this (click).
Tom76257
They actually took down something I thought added to the sign. The word BEWARE! and a red arrow used to be there. Still looks cool, but it has slightly less personality now I think. http://rcdb.com/ig67.htm?picture=
The Interpreter
I really like the banners. They did a nice job blending them in, and making them look non-cheesy. An example of cheesy would be this (click). Cheesy because they say Ryan? Terpy, who just HAD to, does a boddah good!
Dvo
I like the addition of the banners as well. CP has those around the park, specifically in the Dragster/Magnum Midway, and they sell the previous year's banners. I really need to start buying those... But I'm waiting for a good MF one

indianapolisman
I really like that Beast sign. It's a great size and fits the area nicely. Also Ronny, I never heard any news. Is that a Diamondback ride supervisor shirt?
gigacoaster2k
I can't wait to see all of this in person.. I bet the photos (amazing as they are) don't do it justice. Things like this really make you appreciate all the hard work everyone puts into the park and the website.
markhudson17
I can't wait either. I still cannot wait for the park to open daily. My friend and I are gonna do a couple whole day rally's on The Beast. I just hope Diamondback doesn't stop me from wanting to do that....The sign looks good but can't wait to see it in person. kjkjkj
Notice the speakers on the lampost, maybe we'll be getting a new soundtrack for Rivertown this year. Also, along the lines of music back there, I really hope they play Maverick's soundtrack in line for Diamondback. Or at least something somewhat similar. I think Rivertown is going to look great this year. It was really starting to need some attention last year, and CF gave it to it!
sgshredder33
I can't wait to head to rivertown to ride Diamondback and The Beast. I just got my gold pass today.
