I'm not sure if they are getting rid of it today the lights were on during there ride and there was maintenance like stuff scattered around.I think there might be some theme coming back to the ride and today The Bat was working.

i highly doubt they are retheming it, especially after that dampening conversation that i had with whomever called regarding my formal complaint to guest relations... in reality its probably just things that needed to be done to keep it running. I was there saturday, and on two occasions i saw the line exiting due to the ride malfunctioning which was odd, considering its really lame ride cycle it runs nowadays...

Perhaps the poor thing is embarrassed and has shame.

Well I think the ride keeps closing due to the Crypt Bat having bladder issues and the have to clean his stick off ! I don't think they are getting rid of it anytime soon because it cost a lot of money.

I just wish it would go back to how it was last season to the beginning of this season.

As I have said before, the park would not purposely give the ride an anemic performance. Something IS up. The park does know its customers and wants to satisfy the greatest number of them possible. Stay tuned.

The Crypt is a really bad joke by Cedar Fair that most guests don't seem to get. At least every time you go in the operators are usually upbeat and trying to promote the ride considering when you get off most people boo and flip them off telling them "this ride sucks, why did I wait?"

I could just see it now... "new for 2010, Timmy is back and boy has he been busy...Timmy Air Tours 2: Revenge of the Crack!"

I really, honestly think that the gondala has lost the ability to move on its own.

Cedar Fair will quickly rehab the former Paramount Parks websites to make them more like Cedar Point's. Wrong.

Cedar Fair will quickly add descriptions of the food options available at each former Paramount Park, on an order of the excellent descriptions at Cedar Point. Wrong.

Cedar Fair apparently doesn't think its target audience pays much attention to the former Paramount Parks websites, and thus they need not be a priority. Also, wrong.

It's only been a bit less than three years since Cedar Fair took over. These things take time. Apparently lots and lots of time.

One of the last times I was at Kings Island, I bought something from the DB gift shop. It said on my online bank account statement that I had made a purchase from Paramount's Kings Island.

I put in "Kings Island" into my GPS like five times, but it never came up. So, I looked it up by address and it came up as Paramount's Kings Island.

sadly I never rode the crypt when it was good. I stood in line for three hours the year it opened and it broke down right when i reached the entrance to the building.

So i rode this year back in may. we didn't notice any pee smell, lol. but the people behind us thought they were in line for Diamondback. we told them what were really waiting for and they said "oh? well what does this ride do" we said we never been on it before and explain with our hands of what we've been told and read about he ride. the guys eyes lit up as we explained and he pulled his girlfriend along and said "lets get on this!". lol. but yeah so i was excited to as we sat in the seats, although I was worried I may get sick. I always get sick on flat rides. but I wanted to at least ride it. we were strapped in and i said to my friend and the people we had me in line "what if they turn off those lights?!!." so now I'm even more excited so the ride started and the light went off and awkward music began to play and we began the slow backwards climb. then it reached the top and did a free fall swing and all the way around , stopped and then did it in the other direction and all other sorts of swinging . lol at the end it turned the gondola at a 90 degree angle and shook which got a few genuine screams from the ladys . then it lowered us toward the floor as if we would impact it. then it reset to normal position and lights began flashing and drums were playing. then it was over. I looked around like "what, that's it!" the ride op said, "how was that ride!" there were allot of "boos" and "whats". It would have been fun just too short. it felt like doing cart wheels in a euro club. lol

Perhaps you should update your GPS. They don't do it automatically.

I see that Kennywood just put their Huss Top Spin up for sale http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1280. Right now it seems that most every park has one. But they could become rare in the future.
