ftskatie
What does it take to close rides when it's storming? Are there any rides that stay open even when others are closed? I'm planning on going Wednesday (6/17), but it's supposed to storm I believe
jondrewfoo
lightning shuts down about anything.... if any comes within 5 miles of the rides, they close. a few flats are open when its just raining... but mainly, Flight of Fear, the crypt, scooby doo, and spongebob 3d are open in the storms, as they are indoor rides. Diamondback FOF
Don't ALL of the outside rides shut down if it just starts raining really hard?
striker7
Not sure how much rain it takes to close some rides. But I do remember riding The Beast in a nice hard rain once back in the day!
Dalefan
They had some flats open when it was raining hard at times when i was at the park the 25th of May this year.
Fear the Four
Don't ALL of the outside rides shut down if it just starts raining really hard? Not all outside rides shut down when it rains really hard. A couple weeks ago I went to Ki I was in line for Diamondback and a few trains before we got on it started pouring down rain and once we got on me and my friends were already soaking wet half way up the chain lift. You couldn't even open your eyes riding the whole time. The rain hurts lots.

Fear the Four
When I got off of it my face was all red and I was crying because it hurts your eyes but that was my favorite time I ever rode Diamondback.
ftskatie
I'm happy. Now it's just supposed to rain, not storm. Too bad I won't get to experience being pelted with heavy rain!

When there is a severe storm ALL rides shut down. I know a friend who went to KI during the bad storms about a week ago he stood inside Flight of Fear for over a hour straight without even moving in line. Oldiesmann
The bumper cars don't seem to close during storms either. When I was there on Sunday, Dodgems stayed open during heavy rain with some lightning and thunder, even though most other rides in the park were shut down.
