The Interpreter Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Well, considering the park had its first 27 seasons and most of the 28th with no coaster in that space. . .
CedarPointer Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Why did you erase FoF You never know! (I didn't think that'd be the first thing someone would notice... something much more obvious is gone too!)
The Interpreter Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Well, yes, and that has been pointed out.... http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18995&view=findpost&p=355806
KIBOB Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Why did you erase FoF You never know! (I didn't think that'd be the first thing someone would notice... something much more obvious is gone too!) I see it now, but the Eiffel Tower?........Uh oh...darn ride rotation!
Fear the Four Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 There are good reasons to leave it on. For one, it gives a good point of reference for someone trying to find, say, Flight Deck. "Oh, it's over by the big wooden coaster!" And they left Action Theater on... You never know, the map could look like this next year! That water tower in Action Zone is also missing. I don't know if that was already posted I'm to lazy to look. That map looks really empty with out Son of Beast.

Fear the Four Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Is this the new 2010 map? Haha just kidding. That would take awhile to name off everything I'm not even gonna try lol
Ki Man Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I *HATE* how it doesn't keep me signed in...anyways Does that map really say, "Kings Island, ride on"...? Oh lawd. p.s. - never played Bioshock before...just heard the quote!
CedarPointer Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 If they slap dancin' Snoopy next to the KI logo next year, I may just cry.
Beast1979 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 It's Cedar Fair's gradual transition of Kings Island into the Cedar Point of the South. Enjoy!
maverick2007 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 ^Next thing you know all rides will close in a light mist!
IBEW_Sparky Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 ^Next thing you know all rides will close in a light mist! They already DO (cough..Thursday night Haunt 2009.. cough)
The Interpreter Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Methinks that had something to do With management's idea of a skeleton crew.... Terpy, still at it in 2010* * Was that Mr. Kinzel I saw looking for nickels? Or was it unit holders' ayes he was looking for? (And some stake holder did not say 'I only have ayes for you...')
Dbfan Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 2010, 4 months from openining. Still no word on Sob...
goofywdw Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I was driving by the park on my way home on New Years Eve and just sat in the drop off parking lot and looked at the park. It was awesome. Yes, I am a coaster nerd.
Fear the Four Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 2010, 4 months from openining. Still no word on Sob... If you ask me I don't think there not going to say anything about Son of Beast and it will be either closed or open on opening day.
The Interpreter Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 If you ask me I don't think there not going to say anything about Son of Beast and it will be either closed or open on opening day. Under the rules of English interpretation (and I do NOT think this is what he meant to say), since a double negative is not a negative, this means: If you ask me, I think they are going to say something about Son of Beast and it will either be closed or open on opening day. As in interpreting "I can't not think of elephants in tutus wearing pink dancing shoes while trampling in peanut butter" which would mean: I am compelled to think of elephants in tutus wearing pink dancing shoes while trampling in peanut butter.
CincyMan98 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 It's true though (in the right statement) SOB probably won't be announced whether it will be closed, opened, or still possibly in SBNO. Which makes me mad, because I'm excited to go ride SOB again next year, and if I'd go to the park and figure out it's closed......I'd cry.
Dbfan Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 At least we can probably assume it will still be standing for 2010. If they wanted it down, you would think they would start by now to get it down by opening day.
IBEW_Sparky Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 They dropped Villain in a week, so dont assume that for a second. It will likely stand due to, as has been said many times over, lack of disposable funds to carry out said demolition.
catzdrummer09 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Villain was MUCH smaller in comparison to this "Beast". Pun totally intended.
Dbfan Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 And Villian was a hybrid. the Wood will take longer to take down.
IBEW_Sparky Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Hmmmm, big iron claw, I think it will tear the **** outta wood just as well as it did to metal. Regardless, other than HAVING to be careful close to AE, they could start March 1st and have it down... maybe not have the area totally CLEARED, but down.
The Interpreter Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Given The Bat footings still extant, and the King Cobra ones...I wonder if they'd even clear all the footings...
goofywdw Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Given The Bat footings still extant, and the King Cobra ones...I wonder if they'd even clear all the footings... I guess it just depends what they have in mind to take its place. That is if it is even coming down or if they even have anything in mind to put there.
