The Interpreter
Trims were added? Really? The trimming on Beast has been there since the first day it was open to the public, with rare exceptions, such as when they were switching to the magnetic braking, the ride ran without some of the trims for a very brief period of time. TheSonofBeast
people should seriously look up their facts. The Beast has always had trims since its opening year. how much trim however, has changed. also the type of trims.
The Interpreter
And some of us don't have to look up the facts...and, if confronted with written evidence otherwise on the web, question that. You see, we were there and know what we experienced. I really do not care what someone has posted to Wikipedia or claims when they are parroting others, who may or may not have even been there or even alive at the time. Some day, we oldtimers will all have passed on...and what is left here will be all there is. I'd like for it to be right. It is important. Not vital, but important... TERP, are you writing your own eulogy? But don't worry as we all age and mature we realize that somethings we fought hard for or believe will change.... or at least thats the hope.... The Interpreter
And just like Son of Beast itself, nothing is forever. Not all change is good. Some is, some is not. Change is change. Nothing more, without knowing the nature of the change. And that which is planned may or may not come to pass. Coney Islander
Cedar Fair really needs to make The Beast trim less to make up for the possible destruction of SOB next year... Just a thought
HTCO
Cedar Fair really needs to make The Beast trim less to make up for the possible destruction of SOB next year... Just a thought As much as myself and almost everyone else on this board, would want that to happen... It's not. Sorry to burst your bubble. The Interpreter
Do not assume everyone here would want that to happen. There are those who would not....please remember this board is read by people of widely varied interests, including but not limited to unitholders and insurance underwriters, just to name two... shark6495
a one time only would then turn into a bunch of people who missed out then would get mad at the park for not extending it. then the useless conversation about why does The Beast not run with out trims all the time.... then heaven forbid what would happen if there was a massive accident when the train was running with out trims.... can of worms.... back to SOB..... it is its own can of worms right now........ PKISecurity
They should contract it into a movie so that it can be imploded or offer to sell the planks of wood as a piece of history to park guest. You know..."Get a piece of The Beast with every 2010 Season pass" LOL! Maybe make the largest wooden walk through maze for the Haunt next year...anywho!!! Just a thought! Good-Bye Old Friend!!!!
