October 28, 200916 yr What type of coaster/ride(s) would you like to see put in its spot? Edited to Add: I want to see a new stand up coaster at Kings Island. I miss King Cobra there so badly and while I do hate the bicycle seats, I just want to see one brought back to the park, either in that spot or elsewhere in the park.
October 28, 200916 yr I don't think the park will ever seen another stand up again. I would rather see a coaster like maverick or maybe a mini rocket coaster like Storm Runner or a B&M inverted coaster.
October 28, 200916 yr First off I do hope that Son of Beast does reopen. Where the ride does occasionally beat the tar out of me in the past, it does still hold a special place in the coasters that I have ridden from its 2000 season. Though if they did tear it down and it was a replacement coaster I would be shocked if it was a stand-up. It seems that the era of stand-up coasters went about as fast as it came. According to RCDB, there hasnt been a new stand-up built since 1999, over 10 years now. If SOB is torn down, I would love to see another wooden coaster take its place.
October 28, 200916 yr ["Captain Cliché" theme music plays] An animal safari with a monorail would be nice! [Kryptonite anvil falls on Captain Cliche's head, and the screen fades to black.]
October 28, 200916 yr If SOB were replaced... I would like to see A Intiman Giga Coaster to compete with Intimadator 305. Even though I know this will never happen. So let me dream!
October 28, 200916 yr I would expect KI's next coaster might likely be a B&M full circuit invert. Shaggy
October 28, 200916 yr My opinion would be to keep it a wood coaster, there are thousands of footers out there and they could heavily modify the structure and course by saving many aspects of the ride like the station half of the lift maybe the second helix to the final break run and use all the extra good lumber to save cost.
October 28, 200916 yr Well if they tear down SOB then I would like to see an Intamin Giga Coaster or a GCI coaster. Both of those coasters are amazing rides and provide a great ride experience. However though, while both of those are amazing rides, I would also like to see a B&M Invert similar to Alpengeist at Busch Gardens. B&M Inverts provide an amazing ride as well. Anything I think would be nice and I don't like to be greedy, but I hope it is one of the fore mentioned coasters above. I would gladly accept any of the above though. A Maverick style ride would not be that bad either, Maverick looks small but it packs more punch than any other coaster of it's size I have seen.
October 28, 200916 yr When they tear down SoB, I'd like to see a B&M invert or a Maverick-style coaster. As long as it's a decent coaster, anything is more fun than nothing.
October 28, 200916 yr First I have to say, just because they tear a coaster down doesn't mean they'll put another one (or anything) in it's place. Tearing down SOB would be very expensive. I'd love to see a B&M invert. It would be cool to use terrain and weave in and out of ravines and wooded areas. A launched coaster like Storm Runner would be great. I loved every second of that ride!!!!!
October 28, 200916 yr I want a stand up like Chang. I love Chang it was actully my 100th coaster ive rode.
October 28, 200916 yr When they tear down Son of Beast, a B&M Invert, or Intamin Woodie, or Gravity Group ride would go nicely there. I'd also like to see a GCII in X-Base.
October 28, 200916 yr I'm very curious about how much land is back there also and where the boarder line is?
October 28, 200916 yr Wait, how much space do they have back there? I'm very curious about how much land is back there also and where the boarder line is? Via Bing Maps: By Means of Comparison, here is the Coney / Rivertown area at the same distance ratio: So with Son of Beast's space (Just what it occupies now, not even what it opens up!) you have the FX Theatre to Diamondback essentially.
October 28, 200916 yr http://www.intaminworldwide.com/iag/index....7&Itemid=32 maverick made a place in my heart of favorite coaster ...
October 28, 200916 yr My ideal coaster would be a Voyage-like coaster, but all through the woods back there.
October 29, 200916 yr This would be sweet! Intamin Ball Coaster looks freaking awesome, but being an intamin it would be a maintenance nightmare and looks to be a capacity nightmare
October 29, 200916 yr i would want there to be....... The Scorpian (REMEMBER THE COASTER MODEL IN THE WINDOW)
October 29, 200916 yr I really would actually like to see more of a Wooden coaster thatis smooth, long, fast, and full of turns and ejector air. However, KI is really lacking a good inverted coaster.
