Well considering the new owners of PKI also own 3/4 of the strip in Vegas; and were the ones to come up with the concept of amusement parks in Vegas (original owners of Apollo were the two founders of the Adventuredome at Circus Circus in 1993 when they controlled the then MGM Grand Casinos and the ideas behind the continuation at other MGM Properties and now their Harrah's Properties). I think Apollo made a great move in purchasing CFI; and will start incorporating a lot more of their other properties and such into CFI properties.

IE a stand up coaster could make a return to PKI.. Longshot; but we'll see...

PKI does fit well for Apollo to theme alongside their new casino they're opening in Cincy in 2011 as well.. Surprised they haven't yet announced they're moving the casino from the riverfront to the Great Wolf Lodge property..lol

^ you might be jumping the gun...Apollo hasn't purchased CF YET, and unless the unit holder vote goes through (which has been looking increasingly more doubtful), the acquisition won't occur. (At least, not in its current format...)

Also, isn't the casino in Cincy being developed by Penn National Gaming (like the one in Columbus)? (Or, does that one have a different developer--i.e., Harrah's?) I couldn't find any link between Apollo Management and Penn National. (They are traded under PENN on NASDAQ.) Another investment equity firm (Fortress Investment Group) tried to take PENN private a few years ago, but the deal fell thru...

Oh, no. And please do not mention any citrus flavored carbonated beverages produced and marketed by a company that is a competitor to a supplier to Kings Island but not Cedar Point. At the moment...

In sprite of the fact that it's not sold at the Point, they may just have the urge to vault it up there someday.

Like the most recent couple of posts, just to number two...

Are you suggesting it is time for the thread TOGO?

Terp, doing what passes for standup on a Friday night...and, for him, coasting...
