hamoperator
Do you feel that kids that dance before the shows are distracting for the shows? Whats your thoughts.
coaster_junky
no way that doesn't bother me at all, if they are enjoying themselves i say let them go for it.
HTCO
I think you should be able to dance if the show calls for it... just not in the front. Now if you were in the indoor theatre... Thats different because that could be dangerous. But if it is an outdoor theatre, why not?
diamondback_king
I have seen some younger children dancing before some shows at KI before. I did not think the dance style was appropriate for this childs age. I am not talking about the small kids at the kids area stage either. So I would have to say that as long as it was not inapropriate, I'm ok with it. just a coupe pennies worth.
Beast1979
When I went to Flashback: Totally 80's last year, I saw Peanut getting down to "Beat It", and I thought it was the most adorable thing ever. I think they should be able to, as long as they aren't a nuisance, which I don't think they are.
Guest Millennium
Isn't it illegal to hire children? I do NOT support child labor..
hamoperator
Isn't it illegal to hire children? I do NOT support child labor.. They are not being hired. A kid wants to dance to the music! Whats the harm. Isn't the idea of the park to make kids feel good and have fun?

The Interpreter
Given who is asking this question, I must ask...has someone's daughter been chastised by Cedar Fair, its associates or hired hands? Sheesh...
sheikra_rocks
I seen "Peanut" this past Sunday dancing along to that hip hop show on the bandstand. It is refreshing to see a person without a care in the world, enjoying his or herself at the park.
bkroz
I think it would be an all-time low if an announcement were made prior to show-time asking that guests (especially young children) please refrain from dancing. What a world this would be! The day that we as a culture tell our children to stop dancing so they don't "distract from the show" is the day I move to Canada. I hear it's a wonderland up there, anyways.
CedarPointer
I could see an issue if it were during a show in which the performers went into the audience, but not otherwise.
KI FANATIC 37
Not at all!!! Kids should have fun!!
standbyme
I have found that it is sometimes more entertaining watching the kids dancing rather than what's going on on stage...seriously.
CedarPointer
I have found that it is sometimes more entertaining watching the kids dancing rather than what's going on on stage...seriously. And, in the case of a show which didn't stop this year, it most certainly would be...
KIfan1980
Given who is asking this question, I must ask...has someone's daughter been chastised by Cedar Fair, its associates or hired hands? Sheesh... I really, really hope this isn't the case. I think seeing people, including the kids, enjoying themselves at the shows makes the shows more interesting. If kids can't have fun at an amusement park ...
markr
One of the most adorable sights is seeing kids dancing at the shows.

hamoperator
Peanut has been told by a manager of the park, Peanut cannot dance near the front stage area; Peanut is not allowed to dance the music 15 minutes prior to a show. Peanut is allowed to dance from the back of the viewing area or out on the sides only. The manager that gave Peanut this information said: 1. they have had problems at other parks 2. there is a liablility 3. people have asked/complained that Peanut works for the park (Peanut does not, Peanut loves the shows). 4. why is Peanut there season after season dancing (guess we buy a season pass!) We have emailed the park with no reply. Today 5/29/10 Peanut tried to talk with the manger in charge that gave Peanut this news; Peanut tried to get him to just allow the 15 minutes before each show and he said Peanut cannot. Purplehaze
When I was in entertainment at KI, we always loved to see the guest dancing or even singing along.
