The Best Midwest Amusement Parks for Children

Featured Replies

Guess who made the list?

In our Midwest-based home, there are few things better than an amusement park in the summer. But trekking through an amusement park with young children can seem daunting. And you want to make sure it's a family vacation, after all - with a little something for everyone to enjoy. Fortunately, there are many amusement parks in the Midwest that offer plenty of fun for even the smallest members of your family.

1. Holiday World

2. Kings Island

3. Six Flags St Louis

4. Cedar Point

What is your favorite on the list?

I saw this posted on Holiday World's facebook.

Kings Island is way above Holiday World in my opinion. Holiday World isnt near the kids park for Kings Island. KI has all there rides located near each other with all matching themes and color.

I have not been to SFSL since I was 5, and I dont remember the kids rides that much.

As for Cedar Point, my complaint for them is all of their kids rides and areas are all squeezed into small locations, and these locations are far away from each other.

I like KI's. They have rides that range from mild to mildly thrilling for kids. HW on the other hand would be fine for little kids, but not so much for those that want a little more but are not ready or tall enough for the adult rides.

Don't forget the article is about kids 5 and under. For 5 and under, HW offers those small rides above Raven. Maybe that is why it was chosen, for HW has their own section just for that age group?

Err..Holiday World #1?

I know plenty of 5 and under that are tall enough and brave enough to take on the biggest and baddest that Planet Snoopy has to offer biggrin.gif

If you're going to mention a park, at least get the name right... They list KI as "Paramount's King's Island". It has not been owned by Paramount for several years, and it's "Kings", not "King's"...
