dakota2112
Does anyone here happen to know what is the most distant landmark that is visible with the naked eye, from Eiffel Tower on a clear day? There are a lot of water towers and radio towers visible far off on the horizon and I was just curious how far the furthest one might be. Beast1979
I saw Kenwood Towne Centre once, that's as far as I've seen.
IslandAddict
I have no idea what any landmarks are around KI. The only things I know about in that area are Kings Island, The Beach, and Great American Ballpark in Cincy.
hamoperator
When the park originally opened up, it was stated, that you could see on a clear day for 18 miles.
DropZone99
I've tried to see downtown Cinci but can't. I think it's 22 miles?
pkiboy
I've tried to see downtown Cinci but can't. I think it's 22 miles? No Lie you can see the carew tower on a Clear day and on Kings Dominions Tower on a clear day you can see Downtown Richmond.
Browntggrr
Time of day/ month and weather has alot to do with how far you can see. On a cold, clear November day you will be able to see much further than a clear warm/ hot July day.

When I'm up top, it's almost always early evening, and the best views at that time of day are to the north and east. Sun glare washes out a lot of the view to the south. KIfan73
I usually go up in the tower later in the day, but on my last trip I went up in the morning. Really beautiful views that time of day.
Thrill_Biscuit
Although the skyline of downtown Cincinnati is obscured by the Walnut Hills and Mt. Auburn terrain, even from 275' up on a tower that is in an area that is 810' above sea level (total 1,085'), the 574' Carew Tower, down there in 482' Cincinnati (total 1,056') at an earth-curvature variant of -14', on a clear day, even with ~20(+/-) miles of terrestrial refraction you should be able to glimpse the top 15' of the venearable Cincy landmark. Needle-in-a-haystack, yes, but in theory it does seem quite possible.
Colonel_SoB_fan
So does that mean you can see the new Great American building as well?
dakota2112
Should be able to see more of the new building - it's taller than Carew One of these days I'd like to bring my own binoculars and see what can be seen. I've never gotten good results using those pay-per-view telescope things at other places, and I don't carry coins at KI so I've never tried the ones there. Purplehaze
It is really hard to tell what you are looking at from such a distance, however I can see my subdivision
