DaveStroem
I stumbled upon a site this morning that has me in awe. http://www.shorpy.com In particular check out the Detroit Publishing collection under Photographers. There are a ton of Coney Island images as well as other parks. You will have to do some searching, but if you love history it will be a pleasure. Most of these photos are from the Library of Congress collections. Cincinnati circa 1909. "Chester Park -- the Tickler." Now "not as rough." 8x10 inch dry plate glass negative, Detroit Publishing Company Hopefully we might soon see a sign like that on a coaster in the Action Zone. The Interpreter
Remember, back then you paid by the ride. Parks (and ride vendors) bent over backwards to be SURE people were satisfied.
flightoffear1996
That ride looks like it would be a really fun time.
The Interpreter
I'm old enough to have known some people who rode one. And all they could tell me is they were tickled.

LordSkippy
Those Ticklers look amazing! Rough, maybe, but I'd bet they'd fun to ride.
