PhantomTheater
According to KDfansite.com, our sister park will be getting a Starlight experience. No surprise since they got I-305 this year. http://www.kdfansite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1710 For those keeping score, KD is the 6th CF park to get Starlight following CP in 2009; Knotts, KI and WoF in 2010 and Carowinds in 2011. Great America is the only dry park in the chain not to announce an addition for next year.
pkiboy
Kinda obvious when I saw Pat Jones and Kinzel (Bart) at KI in August. Looking at our Starlight. You should of seen the reacation on Pats and Barts face when they rode Diamondback LOL.
bkroz
Still no word on any changes to Intimidator 305... and I don't expect any.
Delirium_Guy
Still no word on any changes to Intimidator 305... and I don't expect any. You don't expect any changes to Intimidator or you don't expect the Park to say a word about the changes that are taking place? If you aren't expecting changes to the ride itself, the whispers around the IAAPA showroom floor this past week may prove otherwise. Modifications to the ride? Yes. Will said modifications take away from the experience? I don't believe so, infact I think that most will be pleased in the long run.

The extensive missing pieces of track would make it difficult to take the stance that the ride isn't changing haha.
Browntggrr
I'm sure KD will provide a press release once the modifications are completed & tested. There really is no advantage of talking about what is going at the present time since the ride will be unavailable for guests until spring of next year. TylerRider
Still no word on any changes to Intimidator 305... and I don't expect any. You don't think it's going to change? Half of the ride is missing!
Snowman
Still no word on any changes to Intimidator 305... and I don't expect any. I haven't gotten to ride I305 yet. Are changes needed? What's wrong with it?
flightoffear1996
I wounder who is paying for this change? The park or Intamin?
IndyGuy4KI
I wounder who is paying for this change? The park or Intamin? My uneducated guess would be Intamin, but I could be wrong.
Browntggrr
I wounder who is paying for this change? The park or Intamin? I am willing to bet this is on Intamin's dime. A change this drastic, this fast, has been in the works for sometime. The "greying out" forces upon the guest are probably higher than Intamin anticipated for and higher than KD wanted. This sounds very similar to the heartline roll issue on Maverick. Computers do an amazing job with engineering rides like this, but they lack reality & human element, thus, changes have to be made. Simply put: a vendor sold a product to a customer that was inconsistant with the selling contract. Chances are, it will be a win/ win as the ride will actually be more enjoyable for more people and include less trims. This is also the reason why no information will be released until the ride can be tested & approved. There is no 100% way of knowing the changes will work, or if more modifications to this change are coming in the future. And with a change like this, the ride will have to go through all the same tests as if it were brand new.
Flat Freak
The embedded video shows some of the work being done to Intimidator 305 (language warning!!!!) Hopefully they can restructure the ride so it can lose the trims and not have so many people gray out.
