The Interpreter Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 And the maintenance shops are easily moved to where exactly? 1
CoasterOhio Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Kings Island has plenty of space, they can easily move them over to the far side of Firehawk if anything, between FOF, AE, and Firehawk. Or go deeper into the woods where the fireworks are located.
The Interpreter Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 And there are no land use restrictions on any of the areas you cite? ...Interesting. Not right, but interesting.
medford Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Maintance sheds can be moved, but it is not "easy" as Terpy inmplies. Not only do you have to factor in the cost of moving all the physical equipment in them, but also the cost of the new buildings, any site work on said buildings, but any increase (or potentiall savings found) in man hours spent moving the equipment stored/worked on in there to another locations in the park. Its not as simple as it would appear on the surface, its much more complicated. 2
House Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I don't think he was implying it was easy at all. In fact he seemed to be stating the opposite. 2
The Interpreter Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 And the place to which they are to be moved cannot be restricted from such use.... 1
Magenta Lizard Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 [image of RMC imprinted "feminine needs" dispenser redacted] Uh oh, RMC is already in the park... Is it a sign? Only the women are likely to understand what they're looking at there... Just to make it clear, it's only a joke about something I noticed in the restrooms last time I was at Kings Island. 3
malem Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Just a general note for the future: Cedar Fair parks prohibit camera use in restrooms or changing areas for any reason. Technically, merely using a (camera-equipped) phone in a restroom violates the policy. (Just don't want anyone getting in trouble and/or being accused of doing anything illicit, since a few individuals caused Cedar Fair to become very strict with this. I know the intention here was good!) 2
Magenta Lizard Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I know it can be kind of skeevy, but that pic is from the doorway, and I made sure no one was even in the restroom when I took it. 2
fryoj Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Yes but this board polices itself as though its an extension of Cedar Fair, and anything prohibited by them is prohibited here. 2
Magenta Lizard Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Image removed. The women will just have to look for themselves, and the guys will have to imagine it
The Interpreter Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Such images are prohibited here it is said. Period. Terp, trying to be good. Or just trying? 4
jcgoble3 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Terpy, that's a bad one. Really, really bad. *facepalm* 2
The Interpreter Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 and when they're ready for a coaster in the new area, launched Intamin terrain huggin' twisty please (insert hart emoticon). I love Maverick and Cheetah Hunt looks amazing! Hart emoticon? Oh, my. 1
Thrill_Biscuit Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 EDIT - I was unaware of the innuendo behind a certain catchphrase, and removed the post. Sorry.
rhyano Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 No word on Dinos Alive, I wonder if it will be removed or if it is staying another season 1
The Interpreter Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 No word on Dinos Alive, I wonder if it will be removed or if it is staying another season I'm sure it will. 4
Thrill_Biscuit Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Nope. At no hour of the day or night, can an ambiguously-framed question escape the mighty Interpreter. Nope. 7
electricsun Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 No word on Dinos Alive, I wonder if it will be removed or if it is staying another season I'm sure it will. That made me giggle. Thank you. I needed that! (electricsun who may be slightly slap happy from staying up past her bedtime to bake.) 4
Thrill_Biscuit Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Sunbathing? At this hour? Oh, wait... Thanksgiving tomorrow.. oh yeah. (Tb, equally or more slap happy because medicine ) 5
malem Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 For what it's worth, Dinosaurs Alive! is being advertised as a benefit for 2016 Kings Island gold passes. Then again, Carowinds gold passes still include "unlimited access to Boomerang Bay" according to carowinds.com. 6
Thrill_Biscuit Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 So, Kings Island is expanding Dinosaurs Alive and renaming it Ohio Harbor? All kidding aside, I get the feeling we'll still have our leisurely, prehistoric side show at least another season or two. 2
The Interpreter Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Look how long the company kept The Grand Old Dinosaur! 1
MDMC01 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 So, Kings Island is expanding Dinosaurs Alive and renaming it Ohio Harbor? All kidding aside, I get the feeling we'll still have our leisurely, prehistoric side show at least another season or two. Cool. I'd love to go through the one at Cedar Point as it's on Millennium Island! 2
