June 22, 201115 yr The only music I heard last night was the theme for "2001 A Space Odyssey". It was neat hearing it as we ascended the tower. I dont think it was the exact theme from 2001 A Space Odyssey but it was something close. I agree though it was pretty BA. unfortunately I did not get to ride as it was closed due to "weather" at about 10PM when I was in line. it never even rained! but they let everyone in line ride either The Beast or Firehawk. just had to tell the guy at the line that you were from WindSeeker. cant go wrong with The Beast in the dark

June 22, 201115 yr For my 2 rides, once they played the Harry Potter theme (oddly) and next a symphony piece.

June 22, 201115 yr This what you're talking about? I heard the first 30 seconds or so before it was too windy to hear any music.
June 22, 201115 yr And you wete allowed to leave once you had heard WindSeeker's music? You'll be back! (Insert evil laugh here)
June 22, 201115 yr I plan to ride WS tomorrow (assuming it's not closed due to wind, which it apparently has been for some time today), and will see if I can recognize any of the music.
June 23, 201115 yr Author I'm seriously considering hanging out around WS for a while and using Shazam to figure out some of them.
June 23, 201115 yr There was a time, about when Old Coney, as it was then called, was built, that 8 tracks were all the rage. Ker-chunk.
June 24, 201115 yr I've got Soundhound on my phone, which is similar to Shazam. I'm not sure how well that idea will work as it's not always easy to hear the ws music from the ground. I did hear the Star Trek theme, the fanfare from Also spracht Zarathustra (2001 theme) and one other tune I recognized but can't remember the name of.
June 24, 201115 yr Any chance? Sure. Likely? No. Especially now that a new President will soon be in town, one who values thematic experience. Perhaps you could bring some ear plugs.
June 24, 201115 yr there are 18 tracks played on WS just like CPs . The ride op that talked to us when it was down said that there were 32 tracks... Not sure if it's true or not but that's what she said.

Correct: WindSeeker cannot operate in high winds. I found that out at CP this past week; WS was down most of the week due to the winds (though I did get to ride it Monday). One guy I was talking to commented that if it couldn't operate in high winds, then it should be called "BreezeSeeker" instead of WindSeeker.
June 26, 201115 yr I think I heard this on WindSeeker on Thursday as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzf0rvQa4Mc (Bonus note: The conductor in this video, James Levine, is from Cincinnati)
June 26, 201115 yr <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/w9JeOQwSV10" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> heard this soundtrack from Harry Potter for a ride cycle. It's pretty awesome. Edited June 26, 201115 yr by Avatar Helped make your link and message viewable
July 15, 201115 yr One of the songs seemed similar to the song Test Drive from "How to train your Dragon". Also heard some 2001 Space Odyssey. Hope this helped
July 15, 201115 yr when i rode it they played the startrek opening theme from star trek the motion picture.

July 26, 201115 yr I think it would be cool if they added "Up Up and Away" and "You Raise Me Up". Those Would both be very appropriate songs for it. Especially " You Raise Me Up", such a fulfilling song as the ride itself!
July 28, 201115 yr I've heard the song that serves as the intro to the "Big D Podcast" a few times. It's the first 45 seconds of this video. Sorry, I lack embed skills. The first time I heard it was also the first time I rode after I scheduled my WDW trip this fall. I teared up a little. Edit: First time we rode Monday was 2001 theme, second time was Kill Da Wabbit. For the sake of being that guy, I believe you mean "Flight of the Valkyries" when you say "Kill Da Wabbit"
