jbt
They're bringing back one of the old haunted house rides?
CoastersRZ
No, that is not what I am referring to. The clues are there. That is all I`ll say.
westcoaster
The lost river? a ride from the past? oh my
ConeyKing
I think we need some photo teasers for these so called clues CoasterRZ is talking about.
CoastersRZ
Well now, where would the fun be in finding the clues if a picture were posted?

Outdoor Man
In regards to Geauga Lake's RWB coaster. Meh... it was a lackluster coaster to begin with. One would have to wonder why it is being dismantled as opposed to knocked down though. A replica of Shooting Star would cinch a big response.
westcoaster
Yes agree a shooting star but coney don't own the plans for that KI/ and its companies do, as Oh Canada built a replica. Oh well . But a nice wooden coaster would be great.
TombRaiderFTW
Isn't Kings Dominion's Grizzly based on the Coney Island Shooting Star, too? It's a huge stretch, but I'd pretty much die of happiness if Coney received a ride similar to Grizzly. One of the best rides at Kings Dominion, in my opinion. If the increased intensity of Hurler's trims this year mentioned online is to be believed, then Grizzly's the best wooden coaster in the park.
The Interpreter
No. Grizzly is based on the Coney Island Wildcat. Loosely. Very loosely.
ConeyKing
Does anyone have anything new to report on possible things coming to Coney at all.
CoastersRZ
Patience my friend. Good things come to those who wait. There are clues, although not entirely in this thread, as to what may be in store for Coney in the future. More can be gleaned from a visit to the park, if one knows where to search... jdawg1998
Will there be an announcement about the new attraction?
ConeyKing
That's what i'm wondering even a teaser at this point would be satisfying.
The Interpreter
There are teasers galore above, and if you know how to interpret them, you'll be on sound footing.
jdawg1998
Rumors will spread when there is a more solid footing to stand on. I see this one. I'm seeing something about footers. I don't know.
The Interpreter
That was then, this is now. Seek and ye shall find. Eventually.

jbt
Someone in another thread (jokingly) suggested Son of Beast was being moved to Coney Island... hmmmmmmm
The Interpreter
That thing is nearly as big as the park by the river.....
TheCrypt
Silly Terp, that's why you shove all the flats inside the rosebowls!
The Interpreter
At least then someone would have fun in the rosebowl.
homestar92
I hear Cedar Point has a bobsled coaster to unload, lol
The Interpreter
Please don't start a rumor avalanche. Run! That thing would be a disaster to transport. Alaska may be a more fitting destination.

jbt
So... uh, any news on this, yet? Or do we need to keep assuming Son of Beast is being moved to Coney?
CoastersRZ
No news on anything new for next season at Coney. I do know that plans can and do change from time to time...
pilotank
Just got back from Coney today. It was nice, quiet and a good day for a stroll around the park. Unfortunately, I did not find anything of substance in new construction. I started by the west parking lot and circled the whole park. Not one single new concrete footer. There was some trees being removed by the basketball courts and Putt-Putt Golf, but nothing substantial. In addition, I worked Children's Hospital Day last Saturday and heard from a pretty good source the roller coaster might be nixed because it would come in over budget. I hope this is unfounded, but they have been right about The Twister, the floral clock and Zoom Flume. pilotank
