khaoskat
I will say the place has some positives and negatives.. 1) The price was good, we were able to feed a family of 6 for just under $40 (two kids were no charge) due to their age. 2) Food quality was fairly good. Though they had a few items they were a little slow at getting up (Green Beans for one, but come to find out I was sadly disappointed with them after the wait). Most everything I tried was fairly good. 3) Negative - the service was somewhat lacking. My son spilled an entire soda, and it took them about 15-20 minutes to get a mop to clean up the floor, and about 10 minutes for them to even put out a wet floor sign so people wouldn't slip on it. Our server rarely checked on us, so we got most of our drink refills ourselves. Another huge negative is there were no kids cups in there, which is what caused my son to spill his drink (the cup was too big and heavy for him to lift or even reach without kneeling or standing up on his seat). We will go back and eat there again though.
TheCrypt
I've never eaten at Columbia Palace, er Wings, er Rivertown Junction before. I've heard many positive reviews about it, but I hope to get to that place soon! (I also just now tried RPW fries... Man are those good! And last season, I finally got blue ice cream. I missed out on A LOT before!)
The Interpreter
Some of us remember when it was the Columbia Palace.

Titan
Last time I went there a year ago it was terrible. The food was cold and we ended up getting sick later on that night. But I wouldn't mind going back now and trying it.
westcoaster
never did like it, but maybe I'll try it again.
Sonofbeast2.0
what is the current price of the buffet?
markr
Some of us remember when it was the Columbia Palace. The fried chicken was terrific there.
XjoshhyX
Going later today and was thinking of this for Dinner. May be worth a try.
ohiocolts
^^^ I think it's $16.99 for adults, and $7.99 for kids, that's what I saw on an advertisement sign. There might also be a gold pass deal for it.
Titan
With the gold pass it is around 13.00 for adults, but I'm not sure about the kids.
Bennett
Kids are $5.99 I think with GP. For me and my daughter, was $19 and change with tax. Easier than leaving the park, plus, you can cadillac it, take an hour or so to sit in the A/C.
Pepsi
I ate there and I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything mind-blowing but it was good, and it had some good options for vegetarians. I would eat there again.

I immediately got an very upset stomach that persisted until around 9:00 and limited what I could ride, and whatever was still in my stomach at 7:00 disagreed with dinner to the point that I almost vomited. Titan
That's disappointing, they used to have pretty good food there. But thanks for the info I'll make sure to stick with Skyline next time I go.
jbum123
We ate there last Thursday. It's typical buffet fare. Some stuff is good, others, not so much. I am still trying to figure out why they have a server get your drinks when the fountains are right next to the buffet. We ended up getting ours too. We ate there mainly because it was a sit down, air conditioned place to eat and the kids could have their choice. For the price, we will do it again. Has anyone tried the backyard BBQ? How does it compare?
ohiocolts
I was also wondering how Backyard BBQ is.
CedarPointer
I am still trying to figure out why they have a server get your drinks when the fountains are right next to the buffet. I suspect there were many comments stating that, at RJ's price, there should be a server.

We ended up getting ours too. Yeah I was confused by that too. It didn't help that once I sat down I wanted to go to the buffet right away and was told to wait for the server, and he took a while getting to me. Edit: In their defense though, other buffets are like that too. Hometown Buffet has a server who gives you your first drink too, even though you can get your own refills.
