The music played in the Racer station

Featured Replies

Today I have noticed new speakers in The Racer station. They are playing different music than the rest of the park, like 50s 60s 70s songs.

"Africa" is indeed a great song. I'd also settle for "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears For Fears.

I would think some Frank Sinatra would be great for The Racer.....

Now I would have to side with anonymous on Toto, also if they could at least play a bit of 80's more often I would be happier with the park.

If you ask me the park should play more old music from the 40s through the 80s and especially my favorite, the 70s, just so people can get a taste of decent and good music.

It's always cool to have music and other stuff in the ques as your waiting for a ride. My favorite is how they play the transformers soundtrack on flight deck's que. I'm surprised that The Racer has music on it. I would have expected it to be Firehawk to have some music on it.

Would you expect it to be Racer if your name was racer19?

No? Besides Firehawk and Vortex, the other coasters have music, sound affects of some kind or in FoF's case tvs. I'm not playing favorites just because my name is after a ride a like.

(New one ain't used to the old geezer's sense of humor yet? Search me! So to speak.)

I don't much care what they play, just as long as they TURN IT DOWN! Young whippersnappers, playing that noise too loud all day makes my ears ache and my throat sore from trying to be heard over it.

And while we're at it - get off my lawn, you dang kids!!!

As long as they don't mix "newer" music into the playlist I'm fine.

I'm only 25, and I totally agree. I have never liked loud music, even when I was a teenager. If I have one complaint about Kings Island right now, it's the music volume. Can't hear it when it's turned down? Then maybe you shouldn't have damaged your hearing by playing your own music too loud in the first place.
