Over rated rides

Recommended Posts

Or those are the only ones we really know about...

Anyway: Firehawk. I HATE that ride, and all of the attention it gets. People flock to that thing like it is the roller coaster version of Tim Tebow. I just don't get it. Other than the flying experience being different, that ride is just not fun. Beyond the ride being awful, the capacity is horrendous, and it is not easy to look at. Firehawk is THE most overrated ride that I have ever been around.

#2 Gwazi (My back just tighetned up because I thought of the name)

#3 Montu (I think its awesome for the first inversion then after that it just seems to be designed to make people sick)

I really enjoyed Gwazi! What didn't you enjoy about it? I didn't really like Montu that much, though. It was just very boring. Sad, too, as I was really looking forward to it, and the excitement of the theming and observing the train climbing the lift, traversing through the inversions.. But alas, I was severely let down.

It was ROUGH! haha. Maybe we just had a bad train or car or something but it was crazy rough to ride. My fiance and I rode it this past spring break and we both had to take 30 minutes after the ride to rest before we went and walked around. It just didn't work for us.

Huh. I rode in the back seat of (I think it was) Tiger. I suppose our pain tolerance is different!

Millennium Force is highly overrated. I love the first drop onf MF. Not much can be said about the rest. I prefer Magnum any day of the week.

Gwazi is not overrated. This is low rated coaster. Both Gwazi and Wildcat at Hershey are two worst GCI coasters I have been on.

Both Winged coasters, Wild Eagle and X-Flight were very disappointing.

I feel both ways about Millennium Force. If I grey out, I don't really like it cause I miss half the ride but if I don't grey out, it's one of the best rides around.

I think Maverick is very under rated. Once you figure out how to ride it, it is just as good as Millennium and Dragster.

My first ride on maverick was 2 cups of speed, 5 cups of tight turns, 1 teaspoon of my resistant clicked too far back on the first drop, and unlimeted gallons of AWESOME! Shake together vigerously and you get a great ride!

Yeah I think it might have been just the day. We sat in the back for Lion then I rode Tiger just for a credit (haha). I wrote about it in my TR. I think the next time I go it will be more enjoyable. I usually don't get bothered by rides but that one stiffened my back up rather quickly for some reason.

Gwazi may not be overrated but I was advised to ride it and it was billed as a good ride. I was dissappointed with it though. Again that might change if I get to ride it again.

1. El Toro. The stapling deprives it of any airtime at all, yet people claim it has "wicked air." I don't get it! How do you get airtime when you're stapled?

2. Intimidator. One of the most boring cures for insomnia I have ever ridden.

3. Diamondback. Only slightly better than its counterpart in the Carolinas, due to having only one trim.

4. Fahrenheit. A gimmick lift hill does not make an average coaster great!

5. Raptor. Not deserving of the raves it regularly gets. The cobra roll is slow and forceless, then the midcourse brake makes me wonder how it doesn't valley.
