TheCrypt Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I went on Great America's Condor last Summer. It is, in my opinion, one of the best flats HUSS has ever made. Thanks for sharing! Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 That would be the same Condor: http://www.greatadventurehistory.com/Condor.htm 1 Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I didn't know there was another coaster out there, besides Lochness Monster, with interlocking loops. Is it still there? Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Nope. Lightnin' Loops. It got split up and met separate fates long ago. Six Flags was once a huge believer in ride rotation. One part still runs as Diamond Back at Frontier City in Oklahoma. The other became Python at Six Flags America, but has since been scrapped. 1 Quote

The Interpreter Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 I miss Orient Express so. It was a great ride, riding much more like Tennessee Tornado than most Arrows. Then again, I also miss Zambezi Zinger. Quote
shark6495 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 And the link above has a POV of Beast without brakes on the first drop.... I know just bringing up dead news over here.. 1 Quote

The Interpreter Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 New members should see New Jersey's Finest Theme Park. Terp...just sayin' 2 Quote
malem Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 ^ I like how that name has become ubiquitous here, but absolutely nowhere else. At least on the public Internet as crawled by Google. 7 Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 See also Big Droppy Thing! 4 Quote
zacc1993 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Had no idea our Condor was from Great Adventure. Learn something new everyday. And there is still time to learn more. 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Make 2016 your year for great adventure at New Jersey's Finest Theme Park. More Flags! More FUN! 1 Quote
Hoeter Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Definitely agree with Terpy that new members should check out NJFTP! Went in 2014 and by far one of the best, most beautiful parks I've ever been to. Watch out for the violent ejector air in the first row on El Toro. 4 Quote
Ride On_17 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Great Adventure is an incredible park. Park staff? Not so much. But in terms of aesthetic beauty and ride quality, it's amazing. I'll end with this: The back of a train of El Toro and Big Droppy Thing ( ) at night are 2 of the most insane experiences ever. 5 Quote

homestar92 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I went on Great America's Condor last Summer. It is, in my opinion, one of the best flats HUSS has ever made. Thanks for sharing! I have visited SFGAm on about five different occasions now, and only on one of those was Condor operating... Fortunately, I seized the opportunity to ride it and it was one of the best flat rides I've ever experienced. Now, I wonder, HUSS fault is it that the ride has seen so much downtime? 2 Quote
freaks76 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Just out of curiosity, what in the world is the Big Droppy Thing? 2 Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 It's Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom--like Drop Tower, but attached to the front of Kingda Ka. It's quite amazing. 5 Quote

silver2005 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 We call it Big Droppy Thing because the actual name is hard to spell, especially those of us who don't talk about NJFTP all the time. 3 Quote
LoraX Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Zumanjaro is one of the most amazing drop rides I have ridden. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk 2 Quote
freaks76 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I just checked it out. Nope. Amazing to some. Oh no I'm having a heart attack, here I come Elizabeth, someone call in the helicopter to me. I'd ride Ka, though. 2 Quote
Creed Bratton Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Found this floating around on Facebook....figured some of you (aka Terp) may enjoy the look back at NJFTP! http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2016/06/six_flags_great_adventure_through_the_years.html 2 Quote
