Tr0y Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 4 inversions and they claim the seats will be ridding alongside the track.... The news is working in Kings Islands favor.. 1
jdawg1998 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I don't understand what they mean...leaves riders hanging off the side of the track?
shrillcaptinspike Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 So looks like we got something big coming, i really hope that guy is right
Millennium310 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I wish I could see, but of course I've been exiled to a land over 300 miles away...
Cdeq Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Well 4 loops 1 corkscrew , cart that leaves rider on the edge if the track( wing rider) also one and four in the country
upstop Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 They said "at least" four loops....but don't forget they said that Diamondback had two loops.... 2
locostitch Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I don't understand what they mean...leaves riders hanging off the side of the track? Oh no they think it is a wing rider 2
YoungStud Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 the news are not enthusiasts, heck they may not even have ever been on a coaster. 2
Cdeq Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 The blue prints look spotted on to the ones in YouTube. The brought to the GM when Kings Island was first built
locostitch Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 The blue prints look spotted on to the ones in YouTube. The brought to the GM when Kings Island was first built Can you explain
upstop Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Well 4 loops 1 corkscrew , cart that leaves rider on the edge if the track( wing rider) also one and four in the country Well....you cant tell from the blue prints if it is a wingrider....pretty sure that they were only guessing since no official word was coming from Kings Island. Also, inverts leave a row of 4 riders hanging from the edge of the track too.
Millennium310 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 When the media refers to loops, it could mean anything. In fact, my science teacher two years ago thought the turns on the roller coaster in my science fair project were considered loops! 2
locostitch Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 They said "at least" four loops....but don't forget they said that Diamondback had two loops.... Guys I'm telling you those helixes are not helixes but inclined loops 1
Cdeq Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 The blue prints look spotted on to the ones in YouTube. The brought to the GM when Kings Island was first built Can you explain I will find the video and posted it
Shaggy Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 ^ Like my science teacher two years ago - my science project was on roller coasters and she thought that a turn was considered a loop! On the Mindbender at SFOG, a turn IS a loop. ;-) 5
Ride On_17 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Sometimes I really can't stand newscasters. Almost as bad as politicians... 3
kirbias1 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Haha Kings Island Central was on WLWT! They even used our term "decode".
sheikra_rocks Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Based on the blue prints, it does not look longer than Montu. The record they may indeed be going for here is height.
Millennium310 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 ^ Like my science teacher two years ago - my science project was on roller coasters and she thought that a turn was considered a loop!On the Mindbender at SFOG, a turn IS a loop. ;-)Thats her favorite coaster
Cdeq Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I really couldn't either I was taking notes while watching so sorry my grammar
YoungStud Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 They only need a little over 4k' of track to set the record. It is possible. SOB was 7K long. 1
upstop Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 ^ Like my science teacher two years ago - my science project was on roller coasters and she thought that a turn was considered a loop! On the Mindbender at SFOG, a turn IS a loop. ;-) I remember when it was advertised as the world first (and I believe this to be true) inverted loop (or such)....That was a corny way to pull out a world record....LOL 1
jdawg1998 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 There are more than four wing coasters in the world. I see a problem. Edit: Nevermind they said country. Sorry!!!
Cdeq Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 But there are more than 4 wing coasters. In the country All I can name is X-flight Gatekeeper(best one in my view) Wild Eagle ( I rode but hated)
upstop Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Also the blue prints in the video don't appear to have a midcourse break run....do you think this might mean 2 train operation?
