jcgoble3
The original data on which this article is based has been discussed here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27470-2012-attendance-figures/ As stated in that thread, Cedar Fair does not release attendance figures for individual parks, so the TEA's numbers are unofficial estimates only and cannot be assumed to be reliable. TTD-120-420
And along with that, many other companies do not release their official numbers. Not sure about SIX, but I was told by a director here at BGW that, because they are a publicly traded company, they can no longer give out attendance numbers on a park by park basis. I do wonder why being a public company changes that.
KI-ORIG-EMP
What if you are a stock holder, isn't the attendance figures included along with everything else that relates to the company in their report to the stockholders?
TTD-120-420
I believe so, because I have seen Walt over at Pointbuzz post official numbers before, but they aren't supposed to be made public. I could be wrong, though.
The Interpreter
No. Individual park attendance figures are not typically a part of stockholder reports. Besides, there technically is no stock in Cedar Fair LP. Units in a limited partnership, yes. Stock? No.

Gabe
I always recommend to college age kids to take a class on business law if offered at their undergraduate institution. Even if one isn't planning on becoming a lawyer, the knowledge gained can be useful.
coasterfanatic83
Business Law is a requirement for a BSBA here at OSU. I believe I will be taking it in Spring 2014 semester

I consider Computer Science to be a relevant major, possibly one of the most relevant you can choose in today's world, and I can assure you we do not ever touch on this. As it happens, I know a lot about this sort of stuff from working in QA for a company that develops accounting software. But I certainly didn't learn anything of the sort in college. TTD-120-420
I'm a Business Administration major. I should have worded it better. I wish they taught that in the first two years of college.
