malem
^^ Urine in a pool is hardly an abnormal event, and Tidal Wave Bay is huge. Most of it was apparently closed, so any increased "contamination" might have been offset by fewer bathers. They take water chemistry seriously, for good reason. It's quite certain that it was within safe parameters at all times the pool was open - before, during, and after this event.
Maverick00
Why can't they use both pools?
Outdoor Man
seems like this public relations snafu could have been averted with a simple "What if" session.
Existential
I just put a TV on my sink and sat in my full tub pretending I was at the event. I even got out and was happy to find my space when I returned. I didn't see one unhappy customer either. Rocked back and forth a few times to get the waves going. I for one...will be returning.
The Interpreter
Don't let the telly fall in the tub. Terp, who lost a good friend and classmate that way in high school.
KI-ORIG-EMP
I know if I stay in the bath to long, my skin begins to shrivel. I can imagine how it will look like after being in the water for two hours watching a movie!
LongliveKingsCobra
Your skin "Prunes" to provide better traction in the water!~~~THE MORE YOU KNOW~~~~*
Gordon Bombay
seems like this public relations snafu could have been averted with a simple "What if" session. Or you know like a quick walk out there to just see how dark it is. Would probably make sense before holding an event at night.
Guest Department47
The idea was proposed to blow a whistle every fifteen minutes or so, cycling through the guests in the wave pool and replacing them with new ones. I feel like that would actually create a bigger problem and a worse public relations situation - guests go to watch a movie, and barely watch a scene or two before there's an obnoxious whistle noise, blocking out the movie's sound, and they're kicked out of the pool? That just seems like a horrid idea.
PKIVortex
Why couldn't they just set up temporary lights around the pool?
The Interpreter
Meanwhile, (Geauga Lake's) Wildwater Kingdom is doing it Fridays in July, but charging $5 ($3 for passholders): http://behindthethrills.com/2013/06/cedar-points-wildwater-kingdom-to-host-dive-in-movies-all-summer-long/ Hmmm
jdawg1998
Oh dang. Wildwater Kingdom is overpriced already ($30 for just a few attractions) and now they charge for the dive in movies!
