I don't really see this as a major blow..it does suck that it has blown, however...it happens...my season countless motors blew...Maggie, Millie, iron dragon, and even my motor was on it's way out...it's a lot of wear and tear for about 13 hours a day...

It sucks but it's replaceable, the system failed safely as designed and that's what truly counts. A motor can be replaced, not the rider in the train, and that should be our focus

El Toro doesn't have a chain, Hank.

It couldn't have the capacity it has if it did.

Of course, right now that capacity is 0.

What does it have? I am unfamiliar with it.

I can live with downtime to ride a unbelievable coaster. Personally I get bored with some other manufacturers rides and don't even bother riding them.

Look at it this way:

A car ran wide open is more taxing than a car running below the speed limit.

^ Seasonal parks are open approximately 150 days. Losing 25% of the season is terrible for guests and makes parks look incompetent.

You can spin it however you want. The lies you spread about DB stacking only to turn around and claim losing 25% of a season because of a blown motor being something you can live with only reinforces the constant closed-mind trolling you bring to KIC.

U mad bro? :)

And a car running wide open costs a lot more to maintain and repair, both in regular usage and in the event of an accident. There's a reason insurers charge more for drivers with a history of being caught driving cars wide open.

I found it interesting myself for 2 reasons:

#1-El Toro is an Intamin, so this does connect with the recent closing of Intimidator 305 (another ride having issues with its cable lift) and the Shoot The Rapids accident. Dumb Luck or not, 3 well-known attractions down is not a good thing for Intamin's image ATM.

I believe Xcelerator is also currently down thanks to a recent cable snap.

I think it catches many people off guard when they ride it for the 1st time.

It's funny riding it and as soon as it speeds up the lift I always hear people explaiming, "Man! This thing goes fast!"

I feel like most of the GP associate wooden coasters will slow chain lifts, so they don't expect one to have such a quick ascent.

thirteen days. If you blow the motor in your car and take it to a mechanic it would take this long to locate and install another one.

You have been going to the wrong mechanic. Of course smart people take their car to a qualified technician.....there is a difference.

It takes less than a week to rebuild a semi truck engine and have the truck back on the road. Would take even less time to R&R a complete unit. A tiny car engine is even simpler.
