Is Kings Island Haunted?

Don't think I'm crazy.....but, once while riding Phantom theater a friend and I experienced something strange. It was near the end of the evening and we decided to take one last ride. As we were going past the portraits we notice that there was a single rider in the car behind us wearing a strange hat, that we did not see get into the car. We continued to ride and when we got to the main "theater" I glanced back and no one was there. I told my friend who also looked. We figured the ride would have stopped if someone got out midway but it did not. As we were leaving the car, the attendant stopped us and said "excuse me, but did you leave your hat?" We said no, but in the middle of the seat in the car we were riding in there was a hat. Neither of us stayed long enough to examine it. Needless to say, until now, I have never told anyone about this strange encounter.

There is some wierd stuff that goes down at PT. There is a little girl in the front of the theater, and a woman in a red dress that goes on the fly rail which a friend of mine (who currently works the fly) has seen earlier this year, and i know a guy 2 years ago saw the little girl when he was running a spot. there is also one more ghost in the costume shop but i never saw them or heard of anyone who has.

OK- I don't know where to start on this one. I will say that about 6% of the stories on that page are true taht i knew of. The only one thats partially true is "tower johnny", and that second part about the security officers is pure BS. I would know because I worked security at KI in the past, and everything about that story is wrong. #1 if you see someone on the tower at nite, you usually dont question it, if they were able to get up there esp. to the 50 ft level, chances are they belong there. #2 if someone has gained entry to the park after shutting down for the nite, we'd most likely catch them on the cameras before they make it very far, and definately by the time theyd get up to the tower (im sure they have even more cameras now than they did when i worked there). And you wouldnt radio to an officer in a post, you'd notify the on duty supervisor and the security ops center if something strange was going down. And also there would never be an occasion where theres only 3 officers in the park at nite or at any time, unless things have drastically changed in the past 2 yrs. That story is just bogus. The one about the chef is also BS, becuase no one has ever died in IR. I mean lets be real, this whole story sounds dumb. Does low staffing at your work drive you that crazy? If i saw a light on in IR and it was nothing out of the ordinary, it stands to reason you wouldnt care to "check it out anyway". And also if I looked up and saw a figure in the window holding a weapon, Mason PD wouldve gotten called there in a second to assist us and investigate, theres no way in hell I would just walk away and not check on it. I mean think about that, its totally bogus. Also no ones ever died in the fountain, thats just made up. As for the one about the Wild Animal Habitat, thats true only to the extent that a handler was killed by a lion back when it was open. Thers no storage building for evidence that i've ever heard of, which im sure didnt exist to begin with. This is because we didnt need a building to store evidence in, there really isnt that much of it. We only kept evidence that we're gonna need to use in court, not just a bunch of old junk. And lets suppose we did, what would we be keeping the handlers soiled clothes for? What purpose would that serve? And how would we get them? If someones seriously injured, they're going to the hospital (clothes and all), we arent going to strip them naked and enter the clothing into evidence before sending em to the hospital. Once again if you think about this it's a bunch of bull****, the story makes no sense.

And also before you guys go and start saying "how would she know about all this?" I'm credible. In our training the cheif of police at the park told us all the stories of major incidents at the park in the past (he's been working at the park since the day it opened) so I know from someone who was actually there. I'm just sick of all these people on here running around spreading crazy rumors about stuff they dont know. Especially this dumbass on the web site... they not only badly botched some true storys, they seem to have just made up some of their own. Hopefully this will set some of you guys straight, as for peoples firsthand stories, i cant comment on those who knows if theyre true. I mean im not the expert on everything PKI, but dont be misled by this idiot and his or her website.

He is correct, there have only been a small handful of deaths in the park. Things like the fountan incident and The Bat incident simply aren't true. Any kind of major injury or death at the park is public information, so I do advise anyone who is going to seriously comment about it to research the facts before they make untrue or misleading comments about serious issues, such as safety.

The subject of this thread is whether or not PKI is haunted, which a lot of people believe is true. Not too many credible incidents of ghost sightings at the park are directly related to deaths which have occured there.

A friend of mine, who was in entertainment in the 80s, has told me several stories of strange incidents that have happened at the park, mainly the Paramout Theatre, which is believe to be in the approximate spot in which the old farmhouse was located before the existance of the park. You'll notice that most sightings which are more widly accepted are of things that would not be connected to park-related deaths.... for Christ's sake people, there's a cemetary on the land.

First off I would like to say that the park is not haunted. Kings Island can be a creepy place to be at night when their isn't alot of people around and you might seeing things that aren't really there.

If you work a couple of doubles in a row...and you are a walking zombie just trying to get back to the parking lot so you can drive home....sleep a few hours and be back for another double shift....you are bound to see almost anything.

It can be an eerie place when the lights are off...the guests are gone...you find yourself alone walking past one of the wooden coasters and you hear a few cracks and pops of the wooden structure settling in for the night. It can get so quiet so fast when the park closes.

I think many of the past rumors and sightings can be directly related to sleep deprivation....or alcohol;)

Those stories have been around for years, mostly used by old timer employees to scare the younger ones. However there is a story that shows up in several ghost hunter's guides that is not listed. It concerns a little girl who apparently haunts the water park. It is believed that she is buried in the cemetary on the north end of the property.

I have worked in the park and it gets really creepy late night while your in the park alone. I love PKI so do the members on this site thats why we are here to discuss PKI related topics and PKI being haunted is a topic you dont have to talk about it if it offends so much you dont have to post in this topic.As sobtom said most of these stories are just for fun it's close to Halloween people wanna hear spooky stories.But Black Sunday happned it's in PKI's History as DirtySteve said read what he has to say he will fill you in on all the info you need to know on that sad day.

I do think creepy stuff happens I have read stories about the little girl in a blue dress haunting what is now boomerang bay and what used to be waterworks. I have read stories but nothing really freaky has happened to me at the park nor have I been there that late at night.

I too have had a creepy experience on Beast. Its in the tunnel after the brake shed, where it goes underground. A couple of times that I have done it at night, I swear it feels like there is somebody in front of me, looking at me. Not in front of me, like in the seat in front of me, but like between the headrest of the seat in front of me and my face. It is like somebody is looking me in the eye, coming out of the back of the headrest in front of me. I have never seen it, but I swear I can feel it. I feel like if I put my hand in front of my face, I am going to be touching it. Its DANG CREEPY. Its the only time I was ever scared on Beast. But I was really scared. I was just having a fun time on Beast, then I was just struck with terror when I sensed/saw it in front of me.

Yes their is a graveyard in the park. I also live by a graveyard. Funny how Is Kings Island Haunted comes up the last week in Oct.
