What theming would you like to see at Kings island?

I don't exagerate downtime...they do go down quite a bit...my year Dragster had more downtime than uptime for the first two months easily, July wasn't too bad, but Oct. wasn't dragster's month at all..

The only two rides with as much downtime for us was Maggie's lift motor blew twice, and Iron Dragon's chain lift on first hill broke...Next to that, maybe Gemini for weather..

I'm not pointing you out specifically in just saying some people do exaggerate their down time also TTD is also down a lot for weather which really doesn't count. I have ridden Millenium in a lite drizzle a it's not a pleasent experience. I couldn't imagine Dragster in the rain. Last time I was at Cedar Point Millenium Maverick and Top Thrill were down for an hour combined meanwhile Gatekeeper and Raptor were down about half the day. That doesn't mean it couldn't be the exact opposite the next time I'm just saying. Every coaster had down time. I'm not trying to offend anyone. I'm a rollercoaster fan in general.

No, it was down mechanical and weather combined...

Mechanical for air leaks, stuck brakes, ghost trains, bad prox, not positioned correctly at launch, restraint problems, rollbacks, ect. None of that includes weather downtime.

Millie isn't as bad...only downtime mechanical was prox issues and then the lift motor did blow and they were down for a bit and had to diesel the lift to get the next train through the course

Arrow downtime...really nonexistent...only had a stuck brake, ghost train, lift blown, and chain on one ride...Nothing else failed...I like Arrows...they follow KISS...nothing too crazy

I apologize if you feel like I'm pointing you out specifically I by no means am saying you or your particular experience that day or any other day are wrong. It's just my opinion.

if intamin world got millenium force, it would have the same capacity as Diamondback as well as great reliability. One thing millenium force has that Diamondback doesn't, is in its name FORCE!

DB pulls more G forces than MF...just saying, I prefer MF, but that's just because I enjoy the speed and height of that ride...

I could not raise my arms on the pullout of mf's first drop after drinking a case of beer in the october cold. I think I could hold my breath the whole time on db and still be able to hold my arms up.

I'd like to bring back the Rivertown and Coney Mall themes. Now a days, Coney Mall is less like the historic Coney Island and Rivertown is not like it used to be.

I agree, Coney Mall should resemble the old Coney Island in it's glory years. The Racer should be painted with red track and blue rails again, giving it a patriotic scheme, buildings and signs should be painted and given a colorful look to them, the Ginkgo trees should be maintained and trimmed down to the old shape, and also I think a small fountain should be built in the center of the mall to resemble the old European fountain built under the Skyride at Coney Island:

(I do not own this photo, found off of Google)

Ride wise, that area of the park needs more flats again. As I mentioned in the "If you owned Kings Island," thread, I would rip out the Additudes store and put the Cuddle Up back in that spot, because I personally think that not every area needs a gift shop or store. I don't know how popular the 3 point challenge game near the Happy Days (Jukebox) Diner is, but that spot should be the home for new flyers, a classic from old Coney. As a park enthusiast, I agree that removing the Antique Cars was a bad move made by the park. I think the park should really consider retiring the Italian Job ride and put an antique car ride back in that spot, to bring the Coney Island feeling back. Though the original car ride was built by Arrow Dynamics (Now defunct), I think a company called Gould Manufacturing is still in buisness, building rides like that. I agree with your opinion that the park should restore theming to the areas of the park. That's how I would do it.

I think that the whole concept of theming has kinda died out in our public psyche. There's not much mass appeal for it, I think. It worked back in the 70s and 80s, when there wasn't such instant access to every kind of information right at our fingertips. It's like how when, once Americans landed on the moon and came back safely, the public quickly grew bored and moved on... to disco...

By George, I think he's got it!

We need a theme park themed like a theme park.

I miss that floral tunnel that was once at the kid park, and Tower Garden is not up to what it can be, and the clock is fading away.

I'd like more flora in theming. More hanging flower pots, and the original focal points restored to the greenery/floral theme it used to be when I first went. I'd like more inventive landscaping. It seems that once the fountains got changed to be 'safer' and less decorative, the rest of the flora started to decline.

Along that serpentine walkway by The Vortex, they've had a great tree overhang for as long as I remember, that's what I like about the park. Theming doesn't have to be dazzling and man made.

I see. Because it is private property connecting the park to the mainland, it makes it a peninsula...

Just for fun, I was reading a debate about peninsulas, and they got rather technical saying that if there is a bridge anywhere along a manmade causeway path it would remain an island (this was in general and not specifically about CP)

About the other area....oopsie....many, many years ago we were herded from the parking lot onto that section to exit the park....it took what seemed like hours to exit...although there are many neat little vacation homes in that area....wouldn't mind spending a summer vacation there.

Now I'm longing to go back to CP.....sigh...next summer...
