Boomerang Bay Video?

I recall a couple of weeks ago, wround the time that PKi anounced the details of Boomerang Bay that they would eventually be posting an animated video to their website. I think I heard this from Shaggy who said that the video and renderings were done by Badnitus. Anyone know if in fact the renderings were done by Badnitrus and if PKi will be putting the video on their website? I can`t wait to see more of the layout of Boomerang Bay like where Tasmanian Typhoon will be build and where Kookabura Bay will be built.

Yes the video was made by Badnitrus... but for professional services the company name is VIP or something like that. They did say the video would be coming out soon on the website. I'm sure they are probably working on compressing it and stuff or how they plan on puttin it up. Its not a small file.

I really have no idea but I can only make an assumption that the reason for meeting in the Festhaus for the construction tour is to show the video. Jeff Siebert likes to be heard... plenty of people frequent the Festhaus daily.... there are three large TV screens with which he can show the video on... giving the chance for not only the enthusiasts to see the video but the guests that are there as well. That is just my guess, so if you go and that is not what happens, don't be disappointed. Why else would they meet there then walk across the park rather than meet near the entrance to the waterpark itself?

I found it odd that the meeting place is in the Festhaus and not closer to Boomerbang Bay. Maybe they decided that it might be cold and the Festhuas has heat. Or, like you suggested BeastFreak, maybe they will be showing the video. Or Jeff could have something else up his sleeves, that only he klnows about right now. I can`t wait till the 2nd, but that will be a sad day because it will mean the last of PKi for 5 months!

It might be at the Festhouse because everyone knows where the Festhouse is!

I think this is probably the more likely item. Many people in the summer use the train to get to BB, and not everyone knows where the walkway to there is. I think Festhaus was a good choice, as its a common area of the park, that is easy to find without any problems.

Another possible reason for possibly meeting at the Festhaus is that the Festhaus is heated, and based on weather reports for the rest of this week, unless there is a major warm up for the weekend, the Festhaus will be warm! Video or no video, I`m still excited on being given a tour of the construction. Yes, I woul much rather be going there to ride the rides as if it were next season, but we`ll all have to wait a while for that (almost a month after the park is open next year). The rickster, what are you talking about when you say a press release about it? All the information has already been released. It has been stated that Craig Ross has stated there will be additional anouncements, but I highly doubt that there will be any anouncement or press release on Sunday, the 2nd. We might gain some additional information about BB, like locations of attractions, and some new features that are not newsworthy enough for a press release.

When I rode the Pumpki Patch express last weekend. There was obviously a tractor over by the exit to the Helix. Also, from the parking lot, there was a tractor visable over by Wipeout Beach. I do agree that while construction has begun, i think it is probably just site prepartations, and possibly some footers have been poured. I think the tour will be more like Tasmanian Typhoon`s entrance will be here and the funnel over here by these markings. Obviously, they can`t have much to show so far. Heck, last year, Delirium had footers poured by the 24 of October and they didn`t assemble the ride until January.

Sounds good Aaron! Let`s just hope the park isn`t swamped with people becuase of the exceptionally warm and beautiful weekend that is shaping up, not to mention all the free tickets the park gave to passholder for use on this weekend.

I don't think it will be too bad, as most of the people that normally pay to get into the park, probably will not show up on the last weekend the park is open. I think it will be a good day all in all, and hopefully as night comes, many people will leave the park, since now it gets dark nice and early.

Well, having returned from the Boomerang Bay and 1 ride on The Beast, I can say the park was swamped with people. When pulling in, the lot was almost full and they had brought out the "Park nearing capacity" signs out at the parking lot. As expected, he did show a BB video. Looks awesome and i think everyone in the Festhaus both the GP and all of us enthusiasts were quite impressed by the stunning footage.
