So is the train just perfectly balanced like TTD did a long while back or are is it jammed on something downhill? To me, it looks downhill. I know Carowinds' Ricochet coaster had a swearshirt get jammed between the wheel assembly and the track in 2006. Thankfully it was in block brakes, so they had access to the car via a catwalk.

This is not a train stuck on a lift hill.

It became newsworthy because the fire department was called in to use a cherry picker in the middle of the ride.

Same thing happened many moons ago on Magnum's second drop. Fire trucks were called in from Cleveland.

It's more of a story because it's balanced at an odd location. This isn't like when some fool called 911 because Beast was stopped on the lift. It actually is a really unusual place for it to stop - just like Dragster balancing at the top. That being said, the location it stopped in doesn't overly surprise me. The last time I rode it, it was a cold rainy day, and it creeped over that hill. I actually wondered if it was going to make it or if we were going to valley. It seems just a combination of the perfect factors that made it stall there rather than rolling back.

Only ever had to be evaced once, and it was on a break run..

Why can't I ever be stranded somewhere cool. I beg WindSeeker to go down mechanical high loaded..

But..never happens..

Only stops I get are for stupid people and stupid cameras or loose articles..stupid

I've never been evacuated from a ride except on purpose for training. (For the record, being evacuated from the lift on Mystery Mine is pretty intense.) However, I have a couple friends that seem to break everything they go on. My friend Dainan is notorious for getting evacuated ... he had an evac from Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom earlier today.

^ Likewise, I've only been evacuated from Mammoth. They have a set of stairs at the bottom of each LIM, along with concrete paths to get back to the station. A lifeguard showed up quickly with a small ladder to help everyone out of the slide.

Watching them bring the rafts back with dollies and a forklift, after evacuating, was entertaining.

Thank God it is winter their because in Tampa during the summer you get thunderstorms everyday. Luckily it was winter also for the fact that the uva-uvb wasn't to high. In the summer its usually around 11. I wouldn't want to get stuck and then get rained and thundered upon.

I've never been stuck on a ride or had to evac. I have been stuck next IN LINE when a ride goes down numerous times however. All too much actually. darn YOU Maverick!

::Edit:: I got edited.

Top Thrill Dragster did that to me opening year after a 2.5 hour wait.

The only ride I have ever been stuck on for a long period of time was the Skyride at Cedar Point. We were in the middle of the ride at the highest point for about an hour and a half. They let us jump the line for Raptor and Millennium Force after. I wasn't overly upset it was a good view.

Good job on the fire departments part on getting everyone out safely. At that height, plus 30 degree angle, during a thunderstorm is not an ideal situation for a rescue. BGT needs to work the PR machine now, because news outlets are too willing to spin a situation like this in a very negative way

Another unintentionally funny Tb misread of a post title: I was half asleep when I read this, and didn't think of Cheetah Hunt as the ride, but for some reason thought this was going to be a story about some people on a safari being trapped by an ape!

Not sure if we were really "stuck," but in 2004, my wife and I sat in the final brake run of Vortex (right after the helix, alongside Shake, Rattle & Roll) for 6 minutes of the most soaking downpour I've ever experienced. Having wanted to be cooled off during what was otherwise a very hot day, I got more than I bargained for. It was then that I coined the phrase "Baptexed."

I've been stuck on The Beast, but did not have to evacuate. It must have been an issue with one of the other trains. We were at the top of the second hill with my friends mom becoming hysterical. (We tried for 2 1/2 days to get her to ride any ride then this happened,).

Reading this in ThrillBiscuiteeze, that is hilarious.

Try getting stuck on Splash Mountain like me just before the lift to the final drop. The reason it took such a long time was due to the many animatronics in that scene and the park obviosuly concerned about damage to them while benig led to safety. One at a time, walking gingerly between the props until we were ushered out backstage and back around to the front.
