electricsun Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 If you are at KI today, I would avoid Fest Haus for food. The line is wrapped past the stage with school groups. Now, if you want to see the shows there are plenty of seats available as people are in line. 5 Quote
APE Posted May 13, 2016 Author Posted May 13, 2016 It looks like a pretty good crowd for a Friday. We wont be getting there until after 4, heres to hoping it dies down a bit for me. First date night and visit to Kings Island with no kids since that baby was born. 6 Quote
electricsun Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 It's a busy day - lots of school groups for Education Days. Long lines for food everywhere. The Beast and Diamondback lines looked to be about 30 minute wait. Vortex is about a 20 minute wait. 1 Quote
APE Posted May 13, 2016 Author Posted May 13, 2016 of course today would be busy. just my luck. oo well here is to hoping the kiddies have to make it home to bedtime early 3 Quote
diamonbackandbeastlover Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 It will probably die down a bit when the school groups leave starting around 6 1 Quote
TopThrill Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Quite a busy day, a good number of school field trips there. Around 1pm Banshee was about 20 minute wait, by far the shortest wait. The TV in the line said Firehawk was 90 minutes. 2 Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I saw from the top of Drop Tower there are over 100 buses in the lot. They shouldn't be here too late but the after work/ late night ERT crowd will show up when they go. 2 Quote
johnaalexis Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Are Education Days a Friday thing? or just a one day thing? Planning a visit for Thursday (May 19th), and just trying to get an idea on crowds. NORMALLY (stressing this) it isn't to bad on weekdays this time of the year. 2 Quote
electricsun Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Educations Days typically runs the first two Fridays in May and the first full week. Additional days after that are typical but aren't normally advertised as much as the Fridays and week. 4 Quote
Imperial79 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I wonder how the restaurants are doing? Has it gotten better since opening day? Hope so! 1 Quote
DiamondAceExpress Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I've moved 14 inches in the last ten minutes in the Chick-fil-A line, because the people in front of me gave up and left. 7 Quote
johnaalexis Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Anyone been to RHOFG this year?? Just wondering if it is as bad as other eateries I've been reading about. 2 Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I was there opening day and had a great bowl of chili and good service (the hamburger I will not speak of). Of course, it was at 11 AM.... 6 Quote
KIDB Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 After stopping at Kenwood Town Centre, thinking about stopping by for awhile around 8:30. How are the crowds so far this evening? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
DiamondAceExpress Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 It took 35 minutes to place order at Chick-Fil-A and 42 minutes to get my food. 6 Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Putz's is sounding better and better.... 4 Quote
KIDB Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 It took 35 minutes to place order at Chick-Fil-A and 42 minutes to get my food. Thanks for the update, yikes! We may stop around 9:00, use our free meal and ride a coaster or two. Not sure about staying for ERT. If it was for The Beast we definitely would but Banshee gives me a headache. 3 Quote
ohioparksrock Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 We got to the park at 8pm, ate Skyline from Coney Mall (13 minute wait from stepping into line to getting our food), rode Racer, and left at 9:15. It was definitely busy but the food line moved along much quicker than usual! 3 Quote
APE Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 Yesterday ended up being a food time for us. We did wait an hour for a Beast night ride but that was the longest wait and we got front. Reds Hall of Fame Grille is by far the best food I've had in the park. We timed things right at the end of the night and walked on several things including WindSeeker, Firehawk, Banshee and The Bat. We ended up riding just about everything from 5-close. 8 Quote
Bradenwhite Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I went through blackout yesterday 16 times.. oops Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3 Quote
KIDB Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I got to take two good friends on their first Beast night ride right after the fireworks. Front row, and one of my smoothest rides. We then rode The Bat at ERT but skipped Banshee because it was down when we went to get in line. Short but great trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
APE Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 We also thought The Beast felt smoother than it has recently 3 Quote
angiemann3 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Is there a large crowd at the park today? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
ohiocolts Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Somewhat, but not too bad for a Saturday. The Beast is about 45 minutes. 2 Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Bus's Bus's and more Bus's if it wasn't for that, they probably be walk on rides. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk 4 Quote
