BoddaH1994 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Coca-Cola was on hand at Kings Island today where patrons could personalize a 6oz Coke can for themselves and a friend for free! They stayed until 6:00p today and said they'd be back at noon tomorrow (probably until 6:00 again). I do not know if the promotion will continue past tomorrow (7/11/14) or not. I honored Coke with gracing two cans with the names of your friendly neighborhood KIC admins. Discuss this on social media using the hash tag #ShareACoke. 10 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Can you personalize a Mello Yello? jcgoble3, who doesn't drink cola 2 Quote
OleShawn Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 ^Always somebody who wants to be different lol 5 Quote
malem Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Can you personalize a Mello Yello? jcgoble3, who doesn't drink cola Presumably you'd keep it, not drink it. Though I suppose that some guests might take it as a rare opportunity to obtain a free soft drink at KI. This looks like a neat promotion and souvenir. 1 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 ^ Why not do both? Drink it, then keep the empty can as the souvenir. 7 Quote
Hoeter Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I saw these guys at Kings Dominion when I was there Sunday. Should have checked it out. Won't be there til Saturday for the GOCC event. Quote
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Friends don't let friends consume Coke. I believe I saw you at the park yesterday Boddah1994, but I wasn't for sure at the time so I didn't say what's up. I was the guy wearing a fanny pack if you happen to remember. Quote
jcgoble3 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 ^ There were probably lots of people wearing fanny packs. 4 Quote
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) I have had more visits this year (8), than number of fanny packs I have spotted so far this season. On average, that's less than one per visit. Edit: It's like ever since jcgoble3 stopped rocking one, the popularity of the fanny pack fell off drastically. Italian Job 2005 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Can you personalize a Mello Yello? jcgoble3, who doesn't drink cola I'd much rather personalize a Mountain Dew. But alas, Cedar Fair recently renewed their contract with Coke, so I highly doubt we'd see Pepsi products inside the park anytime soon... 2 Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 Plus it's Coke - not Pepsi- that has this promotion. Quote
shark6495 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 If you have a name that's not on shareaCoke.com you won't be able to print them here... Had a few names rejected today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Stoan Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I can't even describe how disappointed I would be if KI went to Crapsi 1 Quote
CharleyTheDinosaur Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I wonder if they run out of cans with the name Bort on them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote

It's Kings Island - the park where nothing can possibly go wronng.I meant "wrong." Sorry. That's the first thing that's ever gone wrong... 3 Quote
Italian Job 2005 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I can't describe how overjoyed I'd be if KI switched to Pepsi. However, considering Cedar Fair's history with Coke, I doubt that would happen. And anyway, I think I'm in the minority when it comes to the Coke -vs- Pepsi war. BoddaH1994 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 I think the backlash would be huge if KI switched to Pepsi. Quote
jdf21972 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 When Frisch's switched to Pepsi, I cannot enjoy a Cherry Coke with my turkey club. Have not been back since they changed. Sent from my iPhone using Taptalk Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I think the backlash would be huge if KI switched to Pepsi. They'd probably get six complaints. 4 Quote
APE Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I liked that some places are switching to Pepsi and it always makes me laugh when someone says they won't eat somewhere because of the switch. It is not that big of a deal. I like both but water is the way to go for me most of the time. 6 Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Pepsi is a registered trademark of Pepsico of Purchase, New York. As such, it is always capitalized here. 2 Quote
APE Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Of course I miss it once and you correct me. I ain't gonna fix it though. Nope. Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 You seem to be a Mr. Grumpy Gills as of late. You need a hug? 3 Quote
APE Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Nah I'm good. I've got exciting things going on the next two weeks. Looking forward to those. Quote

Italian Job 2005 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 When Frisch's switched to Pepsi, I cannot enjoy a Cherry Coke with my turkey club. Friend, turkey clubs taste a lot better when paired with a bubbly Mountain Dew, I encourage you to try it sometime. Quote
APE Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm not sure how I come off as grumpy. You shouldn't assume kind sir. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 The man offered you a hug. It would be discourteous not to accept it. 3 Quote
APE Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I've never been one to like hugs to be honest. I'm wierd I know. 2 Quote
