myklhicks
Just asked the woman working the photos what the new screens were for: "Video. They should be on sale tomorrow."
jdawg1998
Well, they should've been on sale last Friday apparently, but it's been a very difficult job setting them up this past week. It's not easy!
KIfan73
Can't believe how much has happened at the park just since I went a week ago...organ came back to The Grand Carousel, Shake, Rattle & Roll has vanished, videos at Banshee, the Haunt building was put up (just dirt last Wednesday)...not to mention the 10 millionth DB ride happened!! Sheesh!
The Interpreter
And Terpy visited. Terpy, adding stuff.
thedevariouseffect
But did not ride a Carousel
PKIVortex
Anyone know if on ride photos will dissapeaer when the videos go on sale or will they offer both?
The Interpreter
But did not ride a CarouselOr anything else but Adventure Express and Beast. It was a great visit. One of the best.
BoddaH1994
I'm sure they'll offer both.
Banshee Back VII
How many times did Terpy ride The Beast?
The Interpreter
On that visit, once. And it was good. Very good. (Even if he did ride the grampaw seat)
Hoeter
I will vouch for Terpy. Him and Devan rode in the row right in front of me, in a non-wheel seat. I was in the very back row with Upstop and it was one of the smoothest rides I've ever had on The Beast.
LoraX
Terpy, it was a good time. Even in the rain. After two very rainy rides on Banshee that night and then it being closed down after our last ride, I heard an individual returned today to finish what we started to accomplish that night. I don't see that he's posted it but glad he texted me to tell me. I shoulda went and picked him up last night.
The Interpreter
He's a good kid. And he likes to ride the front of RFYLCB!
Hoeter
I figured he would have waited until tomorrow. That's when they are supposed to start selling the on-ride video, so I'm told...
LoraX
He's a good kid. He reminds me of my son when he was his age so many years ago.
malem
And he likes to ride the front of RFYLCB! But only when it's 50° and overcast.
LovinMeSomeBanshee
I can state definitively that ride ops WILL climb the lift hill if necessary at KI. We were at the park a few weeks ago when someone had a camera out. After ignoring the PA, a ride op climbed up quite a few stairs to get to us. We had just started our ascent, but we were definitely 20-25% up the lift hill.
The Interpreter
...and...and...? Like Six Flags, was the violator ejected?
thedevariouseffect
Exactly..I'd pull the camera, and kindly call security to the ride after calling down/up guest article to park op
PKIVortex
Well I Find it funny that every time I'm at KI all I hear is them announcing many times on Racer to put phones away, while the trains are going up the lift. They do not always stop the lifts.

I rode The Beast a week ago, and it was the smoothest ride I have ever had on it. Unbelievably smooth.
noob_rider
The Beast has been extremely smooth all year unless you ride the second train
jdawg1998
One more day without the videos. Told you not to expect anything! The word now is next Monday...possibly anytime this weekend.
LovinMeSomeBanshee
...and...and...? Like Six Flags, was the violator ejected? No. They confiscated his camera and chest harness and allowed him to finish the ride.
The Interpreter
And doubtless gave back all said paraphernalia afterwards....
homestar92
On that visit, once. And it was good. Very good. (Even if he did ride the grampaw seat) And that visit proved that the park apparently doesn't want to make money on food after 9:00 PM, and that they lost at least one potential food sale because of it.
Pagoda Gift Shop
Count me as one who thinks that on-ride photography stills are better than video. For most people who don't know where the on-ride cameras are, the photos often look pretty goofy. I just don't think there will be the same appeal to pay more money to watch yourself look silly for 3 minutes. I guess people do buy those skydiving videos (and videos from the sky coasters/Sling Shots), but those seem like a different category. I thought the ability to have a photo emailed to you was an awesome upgrade to ride photos when it happened 5 years or so ago.

The video, which I'm SURE is both operated and funded by a 3rd part (w/revenue share), has been used in several places but never seems to last all that long. Does Raptor still have its? When did it get it?
thegajone
I guess my only negative comment about the video would be that there's a decent chance I would have purchased one of my first ride on Banshee, but now that I've been on it multiple times, my interest in something like this has decreased significantly.
