Wing it Friday nights at Halloween Haunt

Featured Replies

And this is a coincidence.

The eatery certainly was NOT named for this event.

Nor are wings being served in an homage to the name.

Coincidence.

Oh the irony of it being you making this "correction!"

Wow, this just may bring me to the park on a Friday. I love Wings, do they have hot ones or just wimpy ones?

The only way to eat Wings is Traditional.....leave the boneless for the children that crave nuggets.

Hey Don, any chance of having a wing eating contest , just curious?

Perhaps one can be arranged on Friday, October 10.

hmmm did this ever happen? Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the park on Friday. :(

For anyone who has had this, it's only one all-you-can-eat session per purchase, correct?

If I wanted to go back in after one meal, would I pay again or not?

I thought so, I just wanted to be sure.

There's a buffet at Aquatica that is pay one price and it's ONE trip to the buffet, pay another and it's buffet all day - even if you leave and come back. I thought that was an interesting concept.

I tried the wing deal last night. It was, contrary to what I had heard from customers in previous weeks, a buffet-style setup. As advertised, they had wedge fries, salad, and an assortment of wings. A nice surprise was that they had fried pickles. I don't remember that being advertised, but I might have missed it.

The only problem I saw was that when we ordered the deal around 11:00 or so the waitress had to check to see if it was still available (it was) because allegedly they start to break down the buffet earlier than the restaurant's midnight closing time. If you are going to participate in this deal I'd recommend doing it before 9:00 or 10:00 - just in case.

You are given a plastic serving tray and replacement paper inserts for multiple buffet trips.

If I had to review the food, I'd have to say that the fries and fried pickles were a little mushy - as they would be from sitting on a buffet line. They used the same bottom-heated catering trays as they do for group picnics. It's not that they weren't good - just not as good as they would be if you ordered them fresh.

The chicken wings were very good. I'm a boneless wing guy. I particularly enjoyed the barbeque and sweet and spicy variety.

If wings are your thing then this is definitely a good deal for $14.99. Don't forget that if you have a Gold or Platinum Pass you get an additional 10% off.

The servers there were, as always, very polite and efficient. They were a good representation of how food service employees should behave at work.

This deal is available Fridays only at the Reds Hall of Fame Grille.

I think we are going to do that next Friday. Did they have most of their normal flavors available?

*snip*

Ugh.....didn't plan on a Friday visit this fall but thanks to you, now I might.

Pro Tip : I you go for all-you-can eat wings (anywhere) give yourself more than an hour.

I got it last night too, around 7:00. True, fried items don't do so well on a buffet and we believe some wings weren't properly labeled. Many of them were too hot for me but I enjoyed the BBQ ones. They had both traditional and boneless of each flavor including medium, sweet and spicy, BBQ, hot, and Parmesan garlic which seemed more like a buffalo cheddar. I rarely get pickle chips so that was a treat. Caesar salad, celery and blue cheese dressing, and potato wedges too. I probably didn't eat my money's worth, I can only eat so many wings but it was good!

I have never eaten here before. Is there an online menu, and how busy will it be this Saturday at around 5pm? Is there usually a wait for a table?

On a Saturday during Haunt at dinnertime? It's hard to tell. I would expect the worst (hour-plus wait), and allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised if it turns out to be less. When you check in at the podium, I believe they will ask for a cell phone number at which they can text you when your table is ready so you can go do other things while you wait.

There is no online menu, but the host(ess) at the podium will happily allow you to look at a menu in advance.

Purely speculation, but you may be okay around 5:00. The larger Haunt crowds don't show up until after 6:00.
