Stitch Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 You would see the train rolling back up if it valleyed there.
RevengeofTheSmurfs Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Wish I could have seen The Beasts new improvements But I was stuck in Hanna Barbera land all day.
Tanner Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I doubt that the train would that much momentum to carry it that far back up the loop, and if it did only the first car or so would come back into view. Unless the train made it all the way up the next hill and couldn't make it over the crest like would be inches from making it up it wouldn't have the momentum. Were you looking that hard at the loop to notice it?
Captain Picard Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I have been there on pass day and opening day and wanted to ride it. I live 200 miles from PKI so that makes 800 miles of driving. When I seen it go into the loop I was on my way to ride and then I looked again to see it go up the loop backwards. The last car on the train made it up to the top of the open space on the lift in the pic. It was about 11:10 am when it happened. It may have been sitting in the brake run before the loop because I didn't see or hear it go up the lift and may be why it didn't make it.
MommaBeast Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 At 7:15 Face/Off Mis-caught and got stuck on the way to the loop, the thing about it is i was on there when it happend, people screamin, maintenince rushing to Face/Off. I was quiet during the unloading prossess, but that doesnt matter, i heard the **** ride rumble and the felt the car shake like it was gonna fall off Whoa! Tell me more about that....seems I'm *always* around when something goes wrong with a ride. Happened to us last year on Sneak peak night at Face/Off... ...train is pulled up the lift, brakes let go, train flies by the station, goes through its elements and then does it all backwards again. Only THIS TIME, the train made a horrendous BANG!POP!SNAP! noise as it went backwards up the lift on the return trip home and was stuck there til it was fixed. Park closed at 10:00 that night. We were still in line for the ride at 11:00 (that's the great thing about PKI...they'll let you wait it out instead of turning you away---most of the time, anyway). The noise was scary and deafening. But not nearly as frightening as the Top Gun scare a couple of seasons ago.
PKIDelirium Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 look, i have proof: http://extremepki.houstonthrills.com/pictu...040904/img5.jpg I was in the station when it was rolling back and forth down there: I had cut over from Top Gun's exit, so I didn't know the ride was closed. Pretty cool!
Captain Picard Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Wow nice pic of the physically impossible!
GrandPoobah Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 So it valleyed after having gone through the loop?
coasterfans Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 I thought that there wasnt any people on sob when it supposdly valleyd in the pics theres riders on it. I could of read wrong but I thought there wasnt anyone on it. coasterfans
StXBomber Posted April 11, 2004 Author Posted April 11, 2004 That picture could have easily been taken during normal operation. Where's the proof that the train isn't moving in that pic?
Stitch Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 How is that proof? Just Admit you're Wrong lol, Just Messing with you no need to go on a Flame Trip. If you go to EPKI theres another shot showing it Valley.
Tanner Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Just because you have a picture doesn't really mean anything. They say pictures are worth a thousand words. The only problem is in this case they're worth absolutely nothing because anyone decent with a camera could get that shot.
AZ Kinda Guy Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 Sheesh people it's not that big of a deal....NO it did NOT valley....Closing
