Very exciting news for the Cincinnati Zoo.  For those of you who have never been to the Cincinnati Zoo, it is a wonderful facility.  It is also one of the oldest zoo in the country.  They have been making lots of renovations and investments over the years.  I would highly recommend a visit.

    That is very cool!  Every day I am more and more amazed at how much the greater Cincinnati area has going for it.  Coming from someone who used to travel a great deal for work.  Do not take Cinci for granted.  There is as much or more offered here as any other city out there!

    ^^ Africa technically isn't all the way finished just yet. The final phase, a Hippo exhibit, is set to open next summer I believe.

     

    Awesome news about the gorilla exhibit though! I love visiting the Cincinnati Zoo and look forward to seeing this new exhibit.

    Actually the 2nd oldest zoo in The United States of America.. right behind The Philadelphia Zoo by 14 months :)

    That is correct. But Africa will indeed come first.
