Oldiesmann
Interesting new attraction coming to California's Great America next year... https://www.cagreatamerica.com/what-s-new/coming-in-2016 California’s Great America and Electronic Arts (EA) are teaming up to create a first-of-its-kind guestexperience at Great America. The dynamic new attraction will feature settings and characters from EA’scritically acclaimed Mass Effect™ videogame series developed by BioWare™ and will open next season in a newly renovated Action Theater. For those not familiar with the game series, Wikipedia describes it as a "science fiction action role-playing third person shooter"...

LongLiveTheSmurfRide
Did Cedar Fair sign a deal with EA? Pretty cool.
bkroz
4D holographic experience. We'll see exactly what all that bluster is about. Action Theater says to me that it's a newfangled way of saying 3-D motion-based film with lasers. (Do any of the Action Theaters still have motion bases, or were they all converted to the typical theater seating with respective dino films?)
RollerNut
CGA still has the moving seats.
RingMaster
I'm more interested in the Plants vs. Zombies film than I am for Mass Effect, even though I am a huge fan of the series. The Mass Effect film will most likely be a knock-off of the first generation of Star Tours or that godawful Meteor Attack film that debuted alongside Tomb Raider The Ride in 2002. PvZ, however, is a different story. It's a weird game to begin with (and even spawned a Call of Duty spoof called Garden Warfare), so I don't really know what to expect except something crazy and unique.
Nick_Plummer
Maybe if KI gets one of these EA Game/Rides, we will see the relocation of Urgent Scare or a new Haunt.
calakapepe
Sim City, the 4D theatre experience. Ki 2017 What EA game would be good at KI? If not a repeat? Also.. is there actually a future for our old Action Theatre? It's entrance is basically blocked off by WindSeeker. It's not the most obvious path, the one that still remains.. it could be used, but how could they make it more obvious, and still nice looking? Maybe redo Vortex's exit layout? Open the space up more, put the picture booth a little further ove next to the queue staircase?
rhyano
Good point, some people think WindSeeker is the only thing back there along with Vortex's exit.
calakapepe
It just pains me seeing all these vacant /spots buildings where attractions could go. Action Theater, TR:TR, Kill Mart building, the old Flight Commander lot..
rhyano
I really hope instead of the Action Theater things Kings Island gets an actual Dark Ride in the TR:TR building, i really hope it fits the theme of The Beast or something along those lines
