Hoeter Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Has anyone else tried the Boom Boom sauce at RHOFG? I tried it about a week ago and it's amazing. 1 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 ^^ I love Americanized Chinese food. However, in very rare circumstances can it be considered "Healthy". Quote

Hoeter Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I'm not exactly sure what you order it with. Asked the server what all sauces they had and that was one of them. Kind of hard to describe the taste at the moment but it's got a decent amount of heat and a nice tang to it. Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Tang -- the "astronaut" space drink. Terp -- of a certain age. 5 Quote
Creed Bratton Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I bought some a few years ago...oh my god, I don't know how anyone drank that! 2 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 ^ Kids will drink anything if they don't know any better and it isn't plain water. 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 It was marketed. And many of the customers were adults. It was better than: * Awake: imitation frozen concentrated orange juice. Very imitation. * Astronaut Ice Cream: Bland, pale, cardboard. Never on ANY space flight. * Fizzies: Disgusting tablets that allegedly turned a glass of water into a carbonated soft drink. Like many kids, mine saw only a mouth, no water. Early big Pop Rocks. Still bad. * Bomino "Turkish" "Taffy": Weird hard candy bar slammed on a table before opening. Artificial. Weird colors. Weird taste. Gone. For good reason. Some fools tried to bring it back. Why? 1 Quote
WailsLikeABanshee Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Oh gosh, thanks! Also, I got an order of breadsticks at the Larosa's on International Street, and when I got them, they had just come out. They're amazing when they're fresh and hot. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk 2 Quote

DubVLegend Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Ok first off the bananas are Amazing! Second I'm really disappointed at how they stock the Oreo Churros. It seems to be they make like one batch a day and if your not there within 30 mins of the stand opening your not getting one. I also meant to ask is there another Oreo churro stand that I'm not aware of or just the one at FoF and Firehawk? Sent from the future while riding #KIProject2017 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Stoan Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 Well I failed terribly at sampling everything this year, I never even set foot into Soak City. Next year however my wife and I will have two meal plans, instead of just splitting the one, so better luck next year! That being said, it does appear that "The Snake Pit" is dead and gone, it has been replaced with "Kings Island Hot Dogs" (or sausages, one of the two.). Your plan is either "A footlong" or "Italian Sausage" I didn't get a chance to try either when I asked the other day, but I will attempt to try both this weekend and I'll report back. 1 Quote
Pagoda Gift Shop Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Yep, and that change for Snake Pit was pretty strange. It was done during the season instead of before the season began. 1 Quote
jbum123 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Had a funny experience at CP last week. We stopped at their version of the Chicken Shack and ordered 7 meals. The guy that was filling orders made the comment of "They need 7? You know how expensive that is?" Then the register guy said they were all meal plans and he then replied with " You know how expensive THAT is?". Of course my response was "Sure do. Just ask my bank account.". Then we all laughed and ate mediocre tater tots. The potential is there but sitting under a warmer kills it. 4 Quote
steveinphoenix Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 It is ALWAYS ridiculously expensive at any park......really dont think it needs to be either. 1 Quote
harveyhaddixfan Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 2016 Season Pass: $123 2016 Meal Plan: $111 2016 Food Quality: Eh, could be better 2017 Season Pass: $99 2017 Meal Plan: $90 2017 Food Quality: It's not frozen, what more do you want? 2 Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 ^ that's pretty close to what I paid for my pass and meal plan around the same time of year for 2016. Comparing spring prices to fall prices isn't a fair comparison. 1 Quote
jbum123 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 For 7 of us with platinums is over 2 grand. And that's with 2 kids still under 48. Still on the fence about renewing. Waiting to see what CP announces about MS. 1 Quote

Waiting to see what CP announces about MS. Seriously? One coaster makes a very, very minimal impact on my decision on the total package experience a park(s) offer me. CP could replace MS with a dancing dog or mouse show and it would not impact my decision to renew or not. 1 Quote

CP could replace MS with a dancing dog or mouse show and it would not impact my decision to renew or not. Having ridden everything up there so many times, the kids get bored with it. Having something new is what brings people back in these scenarios. Same as KI. First few years of having passes, we were there every Sunday. Riding the same over and over pushed us to CP. This year, it's been CP almost every other Sunday. I have no problem riding the same coasters over and over. Younger kids get bored. Or at least mine do. 2 Quote
TRTR Guy Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Can anyone confirm is Panda Express or Chick-fil-a still participates in the dining plan. It is no longer listed on Kings Island's website as such. Edit - it is still listed if you navigate through dining plans, but not if you click on the all dining locations. 1 Quote
chuck norris Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Both do. Chick-fil-a is either a 8 price nugget and fries or a basic chicken sandwich and fries. Panda is 2 items plus fried/white rice or lo mein noodles. Chick isn't open Sundays. Panda opens relatively later (not open in the morning) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
chuck norris Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Thought I'd start posting the end of season food outages... River town la Rosa apparently is out of the cheese for the breadsticks and told us they aren't allowed to get any from the other la Rosas. And so it begins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 ^ I really appreciate this and hope others do as well. Not as dig against the park as it seems to be an industry practice, but so we can plan accordingly for all our convoluted dietary needs. 1 Quote
Stoan Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 I kind of figured that was the whole point of dollar days anyways. "Quick burn out all the crap we have left!" It would be nice if they at least buy enough hopefully for the day, instead of potentially just running out for the entire rest of the season. 1 Quote

chuck norris Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 There's actually 4 during the dinner... And the one in Soak City told me the same thing when they ran out of the pizza dipping sauce. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
