Maverick44 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 No, Kingda Ka has an air time hill. lol 1

Dang B&M cookie cutters lol 1 hour ago, Tera Ryzing said: B&m = two cookie cutter giga Intamin = two different giga. Morgan = 1 giga Calling B&M Gigas cookie cutters is absolutely ridiculous. From what I've heard from multiple people is that they are both different experiences, and one is cleary better than the other. Also, there's only two of them. Which goes against the definition of a cookie cutter (The Batman clones could fit that definition). Pretty sure a 30 million dollar giga isn't a cookie cutter. With this logic being used I could just call both companies cookie cutters. One cookie cutter is very reliable and durable. The other always breaks when I try to use it. Can you guess which one is which? 5
Tera Ryzing Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Between B&m and Intamin, one coaster was built in the US for the 2017 season... 1

I know the rides are different and they change the layouts just enough not to be the exact same. That being said though. One cookie may be reliable but is a boring sugar cookie. The other is a more exciting snickerdoodle!!!! haha people get so serious! 1

Yeah, a snickleddodle you're not sure you can get out of the jar without breaking it. If this back and forth between what manufacture continues, we will be near page 1000 by the time we could get a giga. 1 1
Maverick44 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I wasn't trying to debate a mfg. Just stating that some B&M layouts are close to one another. IDK what kind of cookies come in a jar but I am interested lol 1
Codyfryguy Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 It just my phone or are 2 of KI's cameras down? Right now 1
Maverick44 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 ^^ They are down. I can't pull them up here on my desktop. 2
gforce1994 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Not happening until 2021, or 2022 at the earliest. CF usually buys one large scale steel coaster per season, unless there is an large need at multiple parks, like in 10. 2019-CW Dive Coaster 2020- CGA Hyper/Giga 2021-unknown 1
Creed Bratton Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 But you were pretty sure we were getting a Skywarp this season weren't ya? Don't forget about 2018 where 4 major coasters (respectively) for the parks are being built. Also what happened in the past isn't guaranteed to be the way it'll happen in the future. We also have a new head of the company. Things can and will change. 5
SonofBaconator Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 Also B&Ms tend to be more expensive as well. In the 2010s, if you also include Behemoth and Diamondback, Cedar Fair bought a TON of coasters by B&M which I'm sure wasn't cheap. Now that they're working more with GCI and starting to do work with RMC, the company has a little more wiggle room to spend in the future. 2
Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 ^^ For another Intamin contract!!! haha You know I had too. If they don't use them, I am hoping for something else. Another mfg that KI or CP has not used. 1

Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I knew you'd like that! I am good with anything they bring! I just want more coasters!! haha 2

Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 No way!!! haha I love coaster too much to boycott if they didn't use a certain mfg. haha 2
SonofBaconator Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 Its funny how people think its one or the other. I myself never thought a RMC and a GCI could coexist in the same park until Dollywood came along. 3
Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Gotta love it haha. Of course I'd love to get a giga or strata coaster in the park. I'd be very happy with a cowboy coaster as well. I just really want something that is intense! Really to be honest I don't see any coaster at KI currently being an intense ride. Banshee and Diamond back maybe but Just give me 1 coaster that matches the intensity of the 3 intamins at CP. IDK who builds them at KI! 1
Creed Bratton Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 What's a cowboy coaster? Beastgal are you here? 2
Creed Bratton Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Ah...wasn't aware Maverick's model was a cowboy coaster. 1
Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 So they say. Oh well we learn something new each day! 1
Creed Bratton Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 That is something, I learn the darndest things here 2
SonofBaconator Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 I might be asking too much but I want to see a 90 degree drop on a giga. KI doesn't have a single coaster with a 90+ degree drop so adding one on a giga would be a game changer for both the park and the industry. 4
Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 ^^ Please let this happen asap! Tallest Giga with 90 drop. What about only giga with an inversion??? I think it could be possible after a break run or something so the train slows a bit. It would only need to be 1 inversion. 1
SonofBaconator Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 7 minutes ago, Maverick44 said: What about only giga with an inversion??? Not everything needs inversions. 5
Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I know, To be honest I prefer coaster's without many in my old age haha(If 32 is old). I used to love the more the better. I was just saying it would be the first giga ever with a 90 degree drop and the only with an inversion. I highly doubt they would ever put an inversion on a giga seeing as they go way to fast for an inversion. Just sparking conversation on a giga 1
sixohdieselrage Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 What's a cowboy coaster? Beastgal are you here? Wasn't she/he banned?Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk 2
Maverick44 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 ^^ I remember that name for some reason. Wasn't she the one gal that was crazy over MT was going to be an Intamin? 3
